  1. Hi Just a heads up if anyone is doing any large planting schemes, I can now offer a planting service using a tractor mounted planter with operators, good work rates capable of planting everything from 15cm to 90cm plants. We can do conifers and broadleaves, and new hedges! so if your doing any planting or look to do planting and want a quote then drop me a message on here. Machine is based in N Staffordshire, but will work over Derbyshire and the Midlands, or anywhere in England if the jobs worth it. Cheers for looking Charlie
  2. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me out by participating in this questionnaire for my BSc Arboriculture & Urban Forestry dissertation?! 🌲 🌳 If you find the time, at the other end of the link there will be a brief description of the project, some notes on GDPR and why I believe it is integral research for arboriculture moving forward - the questionnaire itself should take no more than 5 minutes! Thanks very much for taking an interest, I really appreciate it! If you could like and share around with others, that would be great. Kind regards, Jacob. Microsoft Forms FORMS.OFFICE.COM

    tree planting

Hi Folks, Just curious really, i'm a self-employed tree planter working around west and mid Wales mainly, wandering what sort of rates of pay people get in different parts of the country and how much might be available etc, our gang seems to average out at about a miserly 6p a tree, generally speaking i tend to get about 1600-1800 trees in a day though obviously this goes up and down depending on conditions, but yeah would very much like to know other people's thoughts about rates of pay and if there's any areas of the uk thats crying out for tree planters etc thanks in advance ash

  7. Good Evening, Can anyone give me an idea of the amount of trees a 3 man team can plant in good prepared ground in a day please? Before I go any further I am talking about 2 year transplant hedging whips at 450mm staggered spacing with the usual spiral guard and bamboo cane. I am not interested in costs. Thanks in advance Steve
  8. Hi, I have an extra heavy tree planting job coming up (18 - 22cm) and need a bit of advice. The spec is to plant the tree with two stakes and cross beam but additionally it asks for 200 x 38m anchoring timber. I would normally just use a root anchoring system but I have to go by the spec. As there is no wiring allowed I can only assume the anchoring timber could be used as a sort of # shape and fixed to the staked above the root ball? Any ideas?
  9. Hi, anyone know were you can buy or hire a Tree planting machine you can use with a tractor? I've done a few internet searches and cant find anywhere in the u.k. that supplies tree planting machines, any ideas anyone?
