  1. See the map and photo of the entrance to find the site. You are welcome to bring woodchip here by arrangement with me. Some leaf is okay as it is for mulching but clean would be preferred.
  2. Lovely community garden on Sherrys Wharf estate by the river lee, managed by neigbours. Road access on 'Jarrow Way' . Leave chips on raised central garden in the middle of the estate square please. We're also going to use the chips on our back garden , right on the river (see last pic) , but theres no road access, so we're happy to wheelbarrow through. Wood chips only please, we're after mulch to keep the soil healthy! Thanks so much!
  3. I'm looking for woodchips for my allotment. Please call for prior arrangement and I can meet you there to ensure they are delivered to the correct plot.
  4. DaveyMc

    Easy access allotment.
  5. Looking for (preferably untreated / organic) woodchips for the allotment, any amount accepted as I need to put chips in the path and as mulch. There's a decent sized car park right next to the plot but the path down is a bit narrow so suited best to vans and smaller trucks. I need to be there to let you in so please arrange a time to deliver and call me when you're near so I can open the gate for you. Depending on the season, please feel free to negotiate payment, if I've got fruits and veggies available you're more than welcome to them!

  13. Hello there! We are a friendly allotment site whose members are currently desperate for woodchip. We offer payment of a box of biscuits Woodchip is used for for many things on our site, including: paths, weed suppressing, and sustainable growing practices which include using it as a soil cover to prevent water evaporation (which then reduces water use and so helps us all to be more environmentally friendly) We would be grateful if you could share any free woodchip with us as we are always in need of it (particularly so at the moment as our members are all very busy getting prepared for the 2023 growing season!) If you are able to drop then please call beforehand and one of our committee members who live locally will come and let you in the gate Many thanks and we look forward to hearing from you.
