  1. What’s going on with the industry? Wages don’t match what we have to do and supply as subcontractors. Is it just me or is the industry knackered??

  3. Edinburgh is over run with tree surgeons. You tend to find the ones that are looking generally are crap and can’t keep staff for obvious reasons. Be careful even if you do get a start. Always be prepared to walk away if you think they are unsafe or just full of sh…!!! Good luck oh and don’t forget the industry is definitely getting harder and wages are not climbing with inflation!!!!!!!
  4. Stihl HS 87t runs a 30” And 40”. Can and advise to add scoop. Hs 87r if you’re doing reductions heavy cutting. 30” only though. Would buy both and you won’t need to replace them for year’s guarantee it.

  7. I have a tw 230VTR fits in the back of my 3.5 ton van. Pull a 10x6 Ifor Williams tipper. Works for me. Chipper fits in trailer as well gives me a lot of options.
