  9. I'm looking for suitable sites to hold Felling training courses. If you own, or know of a site, and would be interested in Berkshire College of Agriculture, Landbased Training, holding a course, please contact me on 07483088382 or email [email protected] to discuss. The site will need to be fairly near to the College (SL6 6QR), have enough trees for the course, approximately 60, adequate space to allow operators to maintain 2 tree lengths apart, 200mm and 380mm at BHD sized trees and be ash dieback disease free.
  10. Hiya I work for a training provider and initially found this very confusing. However I now know that Lantra offer training and the respective qualification separately. The confusion comes when candidates have a certificate of training with lantra and not the actual qualification, which they need if they want to use is as a prerequisite to further NPTC quals. I've had a number of candidates try to book NPTC courses but only have the Lantra certificates of training (from other centres) and have been surprised to find that this isn't a qualification and therefore don't have the required prerequisites. I hope this helps clarify things for you.
