  1. I think the 200 and 300 are the most simple engines in landys but the Td5 is the stronger one of all
  2. It all went downhill after the TD5 IMO, such a shame as they had that engine so right in the end, but it was too late
  3. Evening chaps and lady’s, Looking at getting a new back pack blower, currently have an echo pb755t which runs lovely but looking for something with more power and less vibrations, the Husqvarna 570 BTs looks great, does anyone own one, or can recommend a decent machine?
  4. Not sluggish at all, actually runs lovely for a 2007 saw tbh, each to there own
  5. i Would say so, most my tools are well over ten years old, no engine troubles, and everything starts right up no messing
  6. As it’s less lean, I never run anything on 50.1
  7. Nope just rock oil mixed at 33.1 ?
  8. I have the battery 18v 30” Makita hedge trimmer, unbelievably good! 3 speeds and reverse, battery’s last a long time m
  9. Make sure you look out for the vibration ratings
  10. What ever you do don’t get a Nissan, sorry but they are a load of litter
  11. Cheers lads I may get a case for it and keep but unsure to change for a newer model, or are they poo poo in comparison?
  12. I’ve tried finding one in as good condition as this and tbh I can’t and didn’t realise they were all so battered
  13. Hello peeps it’s been a while since I posted, hope you’re all good, I have a mint condition stihl ms200t which I have owned since new (2009) but saw is a 2007 year, and wondered what she’s worth, as I have hardly used her, a local tree surgeon saw it and said don’t sell it as finding one in this condition is unheard of these days? I didn’t start it for over a year and she started second pull! What do you think, keep or sell?
  14. Thanks chaps, unsure what to think at the minute as I’m not getting tingling fingers just an achey pain more than anything, spoke to doc on the phone and he said it was fitting with HAVS but then was confused when I said i don’t get the tingly feeling as such, and using the machines is fine, he said I’d be hurting/tingling using them which I’m not, god knows but classic wait a month and call me if it’s not better ?
  15. I really hope they bring out a long reach one too, what batteries do you use with it? I had a go on the Stihl equivalent and much prefer the Makita, did you go for the 30” cutting bar?
  16. Gutted I can’t avoid the hedge cutting, but with my new battery anti vibration trimmer and plenty of batteries and gloves, hopefully it won’t be so harsh on my hands and arms over the coming months, and remembering the 20 mins trigger time and 10mins off... fingers crossed lads
  17. Thanks mate, got to love a ported saw, I don’t spend much time on the saws these days as I have mostly grounds maintenance contracts which takes up 90 percent of my time over the year what is the green thing in the piccy? Glad you have kept the cts under control it’s a nasty condition by the sounds of it, can’t have it all though I suppose Best regards
  18. About an hour flat out, but it has three speeds and reverse, I find the different speeds work better for different species of hedge, for instance on fur hedges for me number 2 works best, that’s with a 5ah battery but I have recently purchased 6ah battery’s so will be good to see how long they last compared to the 5ah, honestly though I haven’t touched my long reach or any other trimmer since getting it last week, I let my best friend who’s also a gardener use it and he was just as shocked as I was
  19. If anyone is looking for a decent low vibe hedge trimmer which is battery operated I can definitely recommend this one, may look into buying there battery strimmer too!
  20. Do I trust what the OHS told me and the physio? That’s what I’m scared of really as the physio never said it could be my neck or anything and quite frankly didn’t look either?
  21. Thanks David, when I saw the physio yesterday he didn’t mention any of that, when you got checked out how did they try and determine it was HAVS?
  22. That’s very true about the anti vibe gloves I think as I seem to possibly grub harder which makes my hands ache after too long
  23. Hi Paul thank you for taking the time to comment, really very much appreciated! I look after a site (trees, hedges weeding etc whom is an occupational Heath centre ( they are all lovely) and that was when the woman asked how I was and I mentioned it to her and instantly she said I’ll get you in for a free assessment today, and the owner who is more or less retired but fully qualified gave me the assessment, it consisted of her checking my wrists and elbows and shoulders and basically having a good look over my hands and asking me questions, i said but how do you know it’s not white finger and she said “ Because this is my job “ and assured me I was ok.. But has told me to limit my trigger time on any vibrating tool for 20mins on 10 mins off so for instance do 20 mins of strimming and then do some weeding for a bit etc.. does this sound ok to you or is there some sort of machine I can put my hands on to tell? Sorry I’m a little bit stupid with stuff like this but so happy you have all written back Regarrds lewis
