  1. Cheers for that, just getting into this milling malarkey. I do like it but have no idea where to sell things and how to price yet, all I no is the final product is more valuable than fire wood and makes me feel happier seeing something that will have a life instead of smashed up to burn.
  2. No pics yet, all I know is that it is dead so being felled on an estate
  3. I have been offered a couple of reasonable size Elm logs to mill about 600mm diameter. What/ how would people advise milling them, for what market/ use and what is the value of the end product
  4. That's not a bad shout, but they need leveling befor you cut hnce why I built the box frame trailer. Hopefully it won't allow twist so the timber should be straight.
  5. I will be having a good look through cheers mate.
  6. Cheers Mark, what did you make your winch pole out of.
  7. Hello chaps, following on from my post about small bandsaw Mills I have a hm130 max that I'm in the process of building a trailer for. I will be making ramps and a winch pole to start with. Any advice or smart little ideas/ additions.
  8. hello, do you still have the larch If so has it been felled yet? I could be interested in an artic load. Steve
  9. Hello, after just setting up my woodland I'm now after a load of larch for sleepers and cladding. What availability is there and what price should I expect to pay. We are based near Sittingbourne kent
  10. And ordered a set of 5 blades from Steven cull. Ripper 37 after reading lotts on here. He is another great chap to deal with, super fast delivery also.
  11. Im honestly impressed with the build quality, I'm a machine tool maintenance engineer. This isn't an expensive machine ( in regards to machine tools) for what you get the designer and build are very good. My only criticism is with the powder coat, I have flaked some already. how fast you can cut with these is quite surprising.
  12. First cuts (temporary set up) who ever said its addictive. Spalted hornbeam and some Oak
  13. Nice and solid then. I was debating 100x50
  14. Sorry to be a pain. What size box did you use for your trailer. Do you get any flex in it
  15. No problem putting some pics up when I start running it. The water/ lube Vale works from the throttle set up, the whole machine seems very nicely thought out/ refined.
  16. I'm being tight and have access to an engineering workshop.
  17. Nope dry storage until a trailer is made. It will get test run in there.
  18. It's arrived and I have found a bit of time to build.
  19. It will have a trailer built for it. And yes it's a wide throat max version. It's all about the stabilisers until they hit a rock...
  20. I am a fan of Wales, I spend quite a few weekends there falling off of mountain bikes. Any advice on setting up/ getting started.
