  1. Looks perfect for me as i have a small shed, thanks
  2. I have considered going second hand but a few guys i know tell me to buy new for your primary saw then second hand for your back up. They have bought second hand before with tons of problems and faults, not saying every used saw is knackered but i would prefer new.
  3. Ahh thats refreshing, i thought i would have to fork out silly amounts for a specialist model with certain specs.
  4. Hi guys, just after some advice on air compressors. Im looking at buying one in the new year and im a bit overwhelmed for choice. All i would need it for is to clean my saws and maybe some light use for air tools (sanders etc). Any recommendations? Looking in the region of £100-£150 is this price tag sensible or am i being a bit tight.... cheers
  5. Ahh i misread, not vat registered as im just starting out and have a job lined up in November (agency/council) ill just have to save for now and shop around a bit.
  6. Honey bros do a 550 xp with 18' bar and heated handles for £462. But thats without p+p of course.
  7. Yea i think ill keep my mc for now (even though its been refered to as a hair dressers saw) and save for the 550. It will be ideal for when i do my big trees course.
  8. Maybe think about incorparating a tamper alarm also, this will obviously increase the cost of production but it might be worth looking into.
  9. Hi guys, since i did my 380mm course ive been meaning to swap out my mcoullogh 360T (whitch is pretty poor). The problem is i really need a solid saw so i can use the mc as a back up. Ive used a husq 550xp and i loved it and thats what im probably going to buy. However £450 is a little steep at the min as im getting my srt climbing kit together too. Should i just save up for the husq or buy a cheaper smaller saw for now? Any advice would be great as im fairly new and slowly getting my tickets. Cheers
  10. Ahh cool, ropes did concern me as i thought spray and tape wouldnt be a suitable option. Im thinking about those broad sqaured cable ties you can write on for my harness and on the inside of my helmet.
  11. Hi everyone Just recently passed my cs38 and im slowly getting my basic climbing kit together (hopefully before xmas) and i was hoping for some guidence on marking up my kit. So, what is the best way to go about this? Would it be a good idea to make my own serial numbers up on each item or could i just use some spray paint, tape or something else?. Also is thier anything i should stay away from in regards to passing loler, as i would imagine stamping/punching items is a no no. Cheers
