  1. From what I've read the 395 has been restricted quite alot compared to the 390 due to eu regs, so I guess once its out of warranty I could port it and it would be worth the extra weight. Also another thing to consider is my 441 is a bit battered now and I was thinking of replacing it with an echo 620sx fairly soon, so something light enough to keep a 20" ish bar on and use for when theres alot of logging up to do would be handy. Either that or get a something else 75/80cc to fill in the gap!? Decisions decisions!

  2. Hi all, I'm looking to get a big saw 80cc+ as currently the biggest thing I've got is a 441 on a 20". I've been looking at the 390xp, 395xp and the echo 8002.

I've read a few older threads but was just wondering what are peoples current opinions of these saws?

Price wise the 390 and 395 are pretty much the same, I'm leaning a bit more towards the 390 as it's a lighter saw and I think it would get a bit more use if I kept a 24" or even a 20" on it and just got the bigger bar out when needed. The echo looks like a bombproof saw and fair bit cheaper than the husky's but would it possibly be a bit underpowered with a 28" bar?

I don't really wan't to have to go back out and buy bigger saw if something enormous comes up but at the same time I hate the idea of spending so much on a saw that will spend most of its life sat in the shed, what do you reckon?

  3. Hi guys, so I just got a new canopy made for my pickup and was looking for some advice and suggestions as regards to signwriting. What shall I put on there? I was thinking of keeping it simple just the logo, telephone numbers, web address and possibly a tag line/free quotes/advice. Currently got these two formats for the logo, do you think it's obvious enough what we do or shall I get tree surgery in there somewhere? Stick to just the canopy or do the doors aswell?

  4. So when and where can we get them in the UK because there is not a lot on web about them

Try calling your local echo dealer, we've got one just down the road who said he'd order one in for me to look at. Already sold the demo one he got in november so they are about just not being advertised for some strange reason. Imagine if a new flagship husky 50cc was coming out, you'd have heard about it back in 2010!

  6. So I was at my local husky/echo dealer today having a natter and he reckoned echo had brought out a new professional ground saw at the end of last year which was more or less the equivalent of a 550xp/261. He said it's not on their website yet but they'd had one in and sold it. Said he'd get another one in the same time as a 2510 for me to demo  I can't remember the model, anyone got any ideas what it might be?

  7. Evening guys, I'm looking to buy a set of poles. Any recommendations on which ones and also the best place to get them online? Really like tha aus ones but their a bit pricey, anyone got some for sale? Don't need to be tested or anything. Thanks!

  8. Thumbs up for 'trees - their use, management, cultivation and biology' by bob watson. Also illustrated trees of britain and europe by david more and john white is a really lovely book with a lot more detail and information than the collins guide
