  1. The single bowl is Damson, the other two are silver birch finished them today.
  2. Here's some more bowls, one on the left in each picture is Sycamore the rest are Silver Birch.
  3. Looking really nice mate, i love the shape of them. Have they been oiled in this photo?
  4. Hi Dave, do you prefer to work with any specific type of wood or do u just use whatever is lying around in the garden like me? lol. I've been turning for about a year now, i only make small and medium sized bowls though. I've tried to turn large bowls in the past but i struggle to actually get the damn thing on the lathe and spinning straight, often the size of the bowl and the momentum that it creates makes it a right nightmare to turn. Anyways i would love to see some pictures of some of the bowls you've turned!
  5. Cheers Steve, i have to admit i've never used an electric lathe before, kinda scarred to try in case i discover i like it more than a pole lathe lol (pole lathe turning being more of a unique skill). I'll be sure to upload more photos in future!
  6. I turned these on my pole lathe over the weekend (sliver Birch)
  7. So i'm new here (been lurking for some time) and i just decided to upload some of my bowls that i turn on my pole lathe.... Does anybody else do bowl turning on a pole lathe? Pictures of your bowls please?
