Jeremy Corbyn pleads for fraudster who scammed elderly in £600k fraud to be freed for Christmas - Telegraph I can't comprehend Corbyn, or any of his most staunch followers. These thugs targeted innocent and vulnerable old people and conned them out of thousands of pounds, yet just because one of them was a Corbyn constituent, Corbyn pleads for a bit of mercy. The man is dangerous, and frankly a security threat to our country. Thankfully, I don't think he'll ever be Prime Minister. Anyone else see Corbyn's 'logic,' or rather lack of it, here?

Just await that left-wing hypocrisy. >gay couple visit Christian run B&B >sorry we are going to have to turn you away >bigots! Homophobes! >faux outrage from the "progressive left" >boycott this B&B now!!!!! >gay couple visit Muslim run B&B >sorry we are going to have to turn you away, oh and you should be thrown off a building >gay couple outraged >go to press >local Student Union and SWP chapter >"we have to appreciate Islamic sensitivities, just going there as a gay couple was provocative and Islamophobic." >WTF This is the reality of left-wing double standards. It's like the militant western feminists who oppose "rape culture on campus" and make a song and dance about the most trivial issues, but when there is blatant sexism by the Muslim community right in front of their eyes, they just ignore it because it isn't White, Heterosexual men doing it and so this doesn't fit their narrative.

Yes I've just read your link. Depends on who the people were. I'm not condoning Trump's decisions, but I'd definitely be picky about who I let a place out to, hypothetically speaking. If it was an educated black professional, of course I would. But if it was some "gangsta" with attitude, he'd be shown the door. The same goes for White people. I wouldn't want to let a property out to a chav. Perhaps there is more to this story than meets the eye.
-
Oh crap, what's this: Black people and Hispanics support Trump's views on Islam more than White people. But I thought White people were the intolerant, racist ones? And everyone else was tolerant and "progressive." A damning poll right there.....

Like to see you get chased at knifepoint by a gang of 10 people. And you talk about "feeling sorry for myself" whilst you mention we shouldn't offend people? That's it, brush all the issues under the carpet as the left constantly do. Everything is fine and dandy in multicultural utopia Britain. Sort it out.
-
Tip 1 in life: Man up and stop being offended about everything. Everyone is offended about something these days. It's getting tedious.

Of course it is. But bear in mind, you are from Rotherham, and he is from Scotland. Case closed. I'm sorry but I've been on other internet forums and discussed politics in numerous "lounge areas." Practically every Scot I have seen posting is left-wing, pro-multiculturalism and cannot even begin to understand an alternative viewpoint. Remind me again, does Scotland face any of the issues with segregation, honour killings, bomb plots, sexual grooming, "muslim patrols" and more, that London, Birmingham, Luton, Bradford, Oldham, and so on do? I don't believe so. Coming from Rotherham and witnessing the labour council and police sit back and let 1,400 English girls be drugged, raped and abused by Pakistani Muslim grooming gangs, you have witnessed multicultural enrichment right there on your doorstep! I went to a multicultural school near London, and saw first hand cultural differences between the attitude of Hindus/Sikhs, and Muslims. This taught me a lot in my youth and has shaped my opinion on life, on reality. I've also been chased at knifepoint by a group of Arabs and Somalis through inner west London. Vibrant city eh! So anyone that hasn't lived in a "multicultural" area of Britain, don't criticise me for having an opinion that is based on my life experiences and what I have learnt, past and present. If you live in the rural countryside, and preach the multicultural mantra, then the credibility of your argument is already lost.

Source please.

His comments towards Mexican people, raised some important issues but nonetheless came across as overtly judgmental, this is true. However, you cannot be "racist" to Muslims. Islam is a religion, and Muslims come from all races - black, white or Asian. It's too easy to call something racist, without providing a legitimate counter argument. I'm not even fully English; I have non-European ancestry. But I won't be brainwashed by the BBC and the propaganda-ridden articles they've been writing lately, to further their own biased narrative. The best way to defeat Trump is to take him on in debate and make a mockery of what he thinks. If your argument is better than his, his comedy-like race to be Republican nomination, really will become evident! Banning and silencing is what real fascism is.

I can only imagine that a hefty proportion of those who want Donald Trump banned from entering the United Kingdom, are people like this odious woman. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UGrxGya-Vw[/ame] (This video had so much criticism and down-votes, that Oxford Union made it private, so someone had to mirror it.) I fully recommend watching all six debaters, which included Shami Chakrabarti and Peter Hitchens, arguing in favour of pure freedom of speech. We either live in a free society or we don't. I'm not arguing in favour of Trump, I'm arguing that 200k people who want him banned from entering the UK are a testament to totalitarianism, and the silencing of different opinions. Would the same people who want Trump to be banned from here, argue the same for an Islamist radical who would come here to plot massacres against Britons? I very much doubt it, yet it is Trump who is the "dangerous one." Why do the left only rally against the Conservative European, when most Islamic countries and Muslims living in Europe are extremely conservative, and don't believe in women's rights, gay rights and everything we value under liberal, western "democracy." Again, this is double standards.
-
I don't know the precise history of Trump, but regardless, to get where he has got, he can't be a complete fool. He's an accomplished businessman, pretty sure about that.
-
Trump can be obnoxious, but I think he's quite funny in a sense. Let's be clear: The man is a self-made billionaire, so he can't be a total wazzock. He says what he thinks, at the end of the day, and agree with him or not, sometimes he makes a good point which many politicians are too afraid to talk about, and they just want to brush it under the carpet. That is no way to run a country; if there's an issue with certain sections of society, then let's address it and work together with members of that community. If they're unwilling to take things seriously, then we have to question their role as citizens in our country. What I find most knee-jerk is the response to this whole fiasco. The so-called "liberals" preach their "tolerance," yet disagree with them and you face the most unpleasant intolerance and hostility. I'm afraid you can't have it both ways. To those who have reacted so strongly to Trump's overly stringent proposal, including the 140,000 odd who have signed an E-Petition to block his entry to the UK, what I say to you, is: Is it not better to confront the man in debate, and address his points, rather than just swear at him on twitter, make jokes about him and want him banned. What a gross overreaction. I'm a persistent defender of freedom of speech for all, and I think that those on the left show utter hypocrisy when it comes to this. We saw it with veteran scientist Tim Hunt, being hounded from his job by opinionated, nasty people on twitter, all because he had an opinion. Let's debate, and keep it civil. The so-called "liberals" of today are anything but, they are tyrants.

Think so. But mine was paid for by my employer back when I took it!

Don't know you pal but sorry to hear. Technically speaking, I also have epilepsy. I don't often discuss this with people but thought I'd give you some input. Thing is, I haven't had a seizure in 10 years now and whilst I'm on meds, it's a small dose and I've been driving for many years without issue. Luckily, before I went onto meds in my mid teens, I was only having one day-time seizure about once every fortnight, and they were mild seizures, nothing dramatic. It was actually more common in my sleep which wasn't nice but it's fine now. I think I have what is called "complex partial" epilepsy. I count myself as quite lucky in terms of epilepsy sufferers, because what I have, or had, was extremely mild compared to many epilepsy sufferers. But if you have to go on meds and they eradicate the fits, then do it. It's def worth it. Sh*tter of a condition but that's life I suppose. Just remember, you're not the only one! My Dad knows someone who suffered from epilepsy for years, but it suddenly disappeared later in life, so you never know. Take it easy mate, and all the best.

Chainsaw trousers - Stihl, Oregon or Husqvarna?

There weren't many SIP's on there but I think a lot of ebay chainsaw trousers are 2nd hand? I def want a brand new pair. I might have another look though. -
Chainsaw trousers - Stihl, Oregon or Husqvarna?
Taiga261 replied to Taiga261's topic in General chat
Mhm, Pfanner's noted but they're just too pricey. I was leaning towards Arbortechs as they look good and have pretty good reviews, but then again the SIP Innovation II's have good reviews and are cheaper and can be bought at a local store not far from me. Gonna give this thread a few more days then just make my mind up. -
Looking at these online, funny you mention them, because I believe my current work chainsaw boots are this model! They're not new boots but they have the blue lining at the top and blue and black laces and they look similar so I believe they are second hand Haix blue ridges. They seem reasonably good no doubt, but I think I'll go for something different, hence the Arbortec's I posted above which I'm currently leaning towards, unless someone can find anything else around £150 and lower.

Chainsaw trousers - Stihl, Oregon or Husqvarna?
Taiga261 replied to Taiga261's topic in General chat
Gonna resurrect this thread! After all this discussion (which did indeed help me a lot), I decided to put getting chainsaw trousers on hold.....until now that is.....seeing as Christmas is around the corner! After a lot of praise for the SIP's and of course talk of Engelbert Strauss, Pfanner and Arbortec.....not wanting to go overboard on price, it is now most certainly a run-off. It is neck and neck between the SIP innovation II type A and Arbortec Breathflex type A. I could get the SIP's for £144 from a local supplier, which is very good. Or opt with the Arbortec's which would be pricier at about £170. Both have good reviews from you all. Can anyone sway me in a certain direction before I make the final decision? -
Ha! Point taken. So, I'm going to have to fork out a bit more, fair enough. I am not a climber, just so people are aware. I just have a chainsaw licence and am looking to work in forestry/woodland management, not tree surgery. What about these for £140? Thinking of buying some chainsaw boots as my current work ones have an extremely dipped steel toe cap on right boot which has basically numbed my right big toe out of any feeling lol! It can't be good considering my right foot is consequently also showing signs of tearing skin on the sole.... So anyone got any recommendations for waterproof, comfortable and well built chainsaw boots for not too much more than £100 or so? Cheers

Whatever you do, do not mess up the calibration or whatever it's called! I was failed on my PA6 the first time I took it, despite getting all the measurements of water and imaginary pesticides correct, I questioned myself a bit and was hesitant and the examiner failed me because he didn't feel I was confident/up to it. To be blunt I was highly pissed off and didn't agree with his verdict whatsoever, but there we go, it is what it is. I took the test again and passed, not making the same mistake twice.

Thanks for all recommendations, lads. I think I will stick with a Huskie or Stihl though, only because it's what I know. Perhaps I'll try out other brands in the years to come. Cheers
-
Wow a lot of replies to this thread, although not sure that all were on topic! Noted people saying Dolmar and Echo but I have only ever used Stihls and Huskies so I think it's probably better to stick with a brand I have experience using, as it is more what I'm used to? Do any Huskie/Stihl experts actually know any models around the £300 mark which are reliable enough to cut medium trees, endless firewood etc? Links would be good if pos! Cheers

Basically I've been contemplating getting my own saw, as whilst I'm employed at the moment, and I have chainsaw equipment provided, my contract runs out in a few months and if I decide to go down a more self-employed type route, or not even that, just go for a job which requires my own equipment, then I'll be better prepared. I want a saw which is reliable, light, easy to use and has no problem cutting small and medium sized trees. I've used both Huskies and Stihls. Mainly Stihl MS 260/261 C and Huskie 440, 445 and 450 X-Torq. Personally, I would say I prefer the Huskies. They are marginally lighter I think, and when chain-tensioning, this is tool-free. I believe that Stihl MS 261 C models (specifically the C models) have been known to malfunction more (random dying). What I don't get then, is why are Stihl chainsaws so much more expensive than Huskies? Really want something not much more than £300, so so far I have found this as a best bet: HUSQVARNA 435 II Chainsaw ((Special Offer With Free Starter Kit)) - Chainsaws Find Husqvarna Chainsaws Buy UK
