  1. I'm dealing with a chap called Dave, really good bloke. The demo I wanted to drive should be in today. It's exactly what I want, even the right colour! So I'm gonna go drive that tomorow........ but all being well I'll do the deal. Funny thing is, their ex demo with 4k miles on the clock is dearer than a new one because it doesn't qualify for mvf discount lol
  2. Yep that's new!!!! Paper work in the car but off the top ofmy head its £25k on the road new, there's a £3k mole valley members discount and nearly £4k of vat to be had back. With a few essential optional extras mine will be sub 19k. And that's for an invincible aswell. I know the icon???? I think it's called is a few grand cheaper and the base single cab is cheaper again (obviously!!!) Taunton Toyota, seem really really good. Might even take my rolled 110 as trade in
  3. Hi folks, Been looking to upgrade my old 110 for a while now and ended up doing something thing silly........... I looked at something other than a Landy. And I liked it........ Hilux Invincible, met paint with a few luxuries, brand new, with mole valley members discount and my vat back comes in at a shade under £19000 Wow!!!! Anyway if I were to do it I'd want more guts out of it. Had one for a demo and exmoor makes it grunt!!!! So......has any one else tuned one, how does it go?? any ideas on a good engine tuning company (no plug in chips, I don't rate them) Thank you.
  4. My old 4.4
  5. I've had 2 disco 3's. My first was a base spec. Not even an 's' model on an 08 plate. It was manual and a fantastic alternative to a 110 van. Already mentioned here but I'll say it again, front and rear bushes are a fast wearing part and if you leave them you end up replacing tyres aswell . General servicing wasn't too bad and the 105k cam belt service wasn't horrific either through my local independent lr garage. My second one is a 4.4 Hse. Yep petrol. Never gets more than 14mpg (not even going gently) but with a good remap it's putting out 350 bhp. Usual diesel problems, just with sub 7 second 0-60 and a better mid range pull than just about anything else iv driven. Nice, just juicey
  6. Believe it or not I am very grateful to her I get him every other weekend and at least one full day and a night the other weekends, Wednesday's overnight and Tuesday for tea. Honestly I couldn't ask for more. but we're bot really flexible and try to do stuff together with him. Still miss him the rest of the time. 5 year olds are made out of rubber and always bounce back
  7. How did the driving test go David??
  8. How much would a plumber or an electrician (with lower outlay and less danger) charge you to "pop in" for an hour???
  9. First impulse said £80 before I saw other people's suggestions. It's just gotta be. No good going out for something stupid low, not only will you loose out but it devalues the entire industry.
  10. Your right, very informative, thanks for posting that
  11. Iam fella, I'm gonna wait personally. Leave it six months and see where I am then. Can't see me never having another tractor (maybe even have another fendt one day) but it's unwarranted expense at the moment. Got have the work first really
  12. It's going on Thursday just can't find the money to keep her without the agri contracting to finance it
  13. Yellow warning snow for somerset............. Fire up the v8 110
  14. Still it's pretty rubbish finishing work on a high only to remember my boys not at home
  15. I solved the tears by making sure he thinks as much of his time with his mum as he does with me. Never slated her to him, never will. But the little People in our lives usually see dad as fun (logs, tractors, diggers etc) where as mum does the boring stuff. Most of the school runs, most of the homework etc etc. might not work for everyone but it does for us. Can see how it would be a lot worse if my ex wasn't so reasonable.
  16. People who see a tractor on the road and will do just about anything no matter how dangerous to get past.
  17. Somerset
  18. Good sound advice there, with I'd had this thread 6 months ago
  19. Got a 1.4 golf that's heading to the scrappy if no takers. Mot till July. £250
  20. Are you sure, I thought up to 750kg ok but I may be wrong. Please ignore/correct me at leisure:)
  21. When I passed, I found a Landy was as cheap as anything else. Not themes discoverys tho!!!
  22. Don't know, probably. But everything expensive imo!!!!
  23. Citroen Berlingo van and a little (sub 750kg) trailer wouldn't be a bad start setting up?????
  24. Car insurance was ridiculous when I started driving 12 years ago (God that makes me feel old) so I hate to think how bad it is now. My first car was a 1986 Land Rover 90 and it cost £1130 p/a in 2003 when I was 17
  25. Must be other pubs open:biggrin:
