1. I did mine with Roland Heming. Great instructors and venues, all kit supplied too. Did 38' 39 plus accommodation and it come to bang on a grand all in.
 2. I will be keeping my eyes and ears to the ground lads, will pass this info around too.

Hi George. Only just picked this message up as I haven't logged on for a bit. I ended up going down at the beginning of Feb for the CS38 and am doing the 39 at the end of the month. I have been pretty busy so thought I'd get it done whilst I had the money. Now it's kicked off a bit for me I'm hoping to do the CS32 and 41 later in year too.

Send me your number mate as I've changed phones and lost all my numbers during the backup. Best email to get me on is [email protected]. Will sort between us when to do first aid, I've got some trauma dressings and tourniquets for you both.

 4. It was just below where my parents live on the Tyla. The place was just above the cycle track (old railway), which is where they made access to get in and out. By the sounds of things they've been having a good look about and know their way around. Tossers!!
 5. Bad news bud. There was an Ifor Williams trailer taken in similar circumstances in a Govilon last week. They cut gates etc off and and had to go a fair way off road to get it.
 6. With the quality of training and prices, coupled with great accommodation provided it's definitely worth using Roland Hemming.
 7. I've seen a job done by MCB on Mart from this sites truck, it was bang on, very good job. I'm considering getting my Navara done.
 8. Hi This team sounds great and from my experience is something that is definitely required in some format. I have a fair bit of experience in deploying to disaster zones as I am part of the Fire Service United Kindom Search and Rescue Team (UKISAR), International Search & Rescue Service We are funded by the UK governments Department for International Development (DfID) and are classed as a heavy rescue team rescuing trapped casualties after earthquakes etc, New Zealand and Japan being the last full deployments. It could be worth looking in to our setups ( logistics, medical support etc), as we have developed over many years and have learnt from our experiences in disaster zones. What I will say is that when it comes to deploying then politics plays a heavy part in whether you will actually be allowed into the affected country. We have a nightmare and are usually requested through the government. Would also be worth looking into linking in with International Rescue Corps or RAPID UK who are voluntary organisations who also have deployment experience. They may also put you right on the pitfalls of being a charitable organisation trying to get in to an affected country. More often than not the United Nations are coordinating all the humanitarian response teams so a good knowledge of the UN and UNDAC will also be very beneficial. As for medical support what we find is that primary care issues ( illnesses such as Diaorreah and vomiting) cause more problems to our team than injuries. Remember you are going to a country which probably is over stretched and would not be able to cope with the extra burden of caring for aid teams as well. We take our own medics and Doctors to deal with our own problems. A robust insurance and repatriation plan is also required for deploying members. You will also need all sorts of vaccinations which are to be kept up to date for your own welfare too. There is a lot that goes into getting a team ready to deploy. You already seem to have the foundations of something good and I hope it all works out. Good luck Simmo
 9. Haha!! Can't beat a top chick in the passenger seat:biggrin:
 10. Spent the week in Dorset on my CS 30/31 with Roland Heming. Can't recommend this course and his other training enough. Great training venue, top instructors and a really good set up to learn and train. If anyone is looking to get trained or to send people on courses this has got to be the place. The accommodation was second to none too. Definitely going back to do the climbing courses at a later date. Also come away with a carved Eagle in the passenger seat of my truck(photo to follow), I hope. Cheers for a great week Rol and Mart roland heming forestry and arboricultural training and assessment
 11. Got an 04 plate Navara and insured through Aviva for £288 , full comp, protected no claims. However I am 43;-( and had 9 years no claims bonus.
