Ok ,,
bearing removed and properly pressed in and I still have the same issue,, bbc not working blade running constantly,,,
I put the old clutch back in and hey presto we are back in business,, however the old clutch is pretty worn and more on one side than the other ,, blade spins 3 or 4 times before stopping ,,, onto heavy grass with it today and it cut as it should ,,,
however I need to get to the route of the problem as this old one won’t last to long and I would rather get it fixed properly,,,
mild clutch and bearing have probably cut around 7500 to 7800 medium sized gardens I would say it has done it’s job and owes me nothing ,,,
anyone any idea what to try next
I have adjusted cable
Fitted new bearing and clutch spring to no avail,,,
heads nipping to say the least
help lol going insane with this
Take it to. Honda dealer let them fix it. Will cost a few quid but stop you going mad……

My wife teaches, she leaves at 7.30am and gets home at 5, then marks books from 6.30 until 9 or 10, in the holidays she plans lessons etc, some nights on the phone with parents or students....so your 190 days is bollocks! My wife does the same so yes it’s bollocks however that is the amount they are “supposed” to do. That’s why I get slightly annoyed when people complain about the pensions and holidays etc.
Its not a job to do for the money or the holidays.
and yes I think they should get an pay rise of about 15% to get back to somewhere like where they would have been had there not been years of either noting or 1%

It's a point aside, but having calculated the heating needs of our house in the UK and the one we're moving to in Sweden, our Swedish house uses 8 times less energy to heat it, per square metre. Extrapolating from the bills we've had so far, we'll be using about 7,000 KWH to heat 240 square metres in Sweden, whereas our normal annual usage of firewood here of 28 cubic metres to heat 94 square metres equates to 28,000KWH (or 21,000KWH accounting for 75% efficiency of the stove).
So that's 29kwh/sqm in Sweden where the average night time temperature for the last 4 months has been about minus 6-7 and 298kwh/sqm here in the UK (or 223kwh, accounting for stove efficiency) where the average night time temperature has been 4.4c over the same period.
Our house in Sweden is a totally normal 1957 built house with geothermal heating. Our house here is a totally normal little farmhouse, built in two stages in 1860 and 1930.
I think that this is illustrative of the biggest issue we have in the UK. Our buildings are so thermally inefficient that we might as well be leaving the windows open. It's like driving a car with a hole in the fuel tank.
50 years of north sea oil means 50 years of becoming accustomed to cheap heat and not having to think about insulation. Norway treated their oil and gas bonanza very differently.
That’s really good no doubt. We could certainly do better with our housing stock.
we don’t however have geothermal here at least not in the same sense they do up there.(though I could be wrong on that! Geothermal makes me think of hot springs in Iceland and the like) so if it as I’m imagining then your bill will be less as the water is hot/warm to begin with?
they learnt the lessons long ago out of need more than anything else I suppose

So we dont bother because it inconveniences us now? Yes sod all future generations and just please ourselves now.
Its how we got in this mess and why we probably wont get out of it anytime soon as we are such a selfish shortsighted species.
What we do here in the UK won’t make any difference other than make us feel better. I agree it needs to be done but the timeframe is too short and we need The whole world to do it. I’m also not convinced it would change much anyway. But it would be worth a try if it was worldwide

Who is it the right thing to do for? Not us that’s a fact. Not unless we build 25 big nuclear reactors. Yes we can have wind and solar but nuclear has the advantage that it always works.
to add to that why don’t we build massive solar plants on say the Sahara?
it would conceivably power Africa Europe the world? I’ve no idea how much power it would create never mind all the employment and money going into Africa to build and sell the energy

Yet container shipping is overall an incredibly efficient way to move vast quantities of goods.
Yes it is I do however wonder why the ships can’t have sails to use the wind to help use less fuel.
probably to do with the dock cranes as much as anything else?

True I actually thought about that later but though it was pointless to edit the post. But since you ask, I guess 8-10 liters of fuel and 2-3 bands that will need re-sharpened. So I guess I could add another £50 to the expenses for the day. I'll maybe get a vented bag filled with the Backs and sell that for an additional £50. The hire of the Branch Logger works out at £7 a bag. So Im back to £930 to£940 for the day.
Cant think of any other expenses really? What am I missing?
The mill itself? No idea what kind of money it was but it wants replacing at some point.

If employed yes. Many do supply teaching which is just turn up for a few days . Rates are not dissimilar to Arb and they are 3 year degree qualified compared with someone with NPTC tickets which take a few days to achieve.
Classroom Teachers Pay Scale
Annual Pay Daily Pay
Min M1 £25,714 £131.87
M2 £27,600 £141.54
M3 £29,664 £152.13 M4 £31,778 £162.97 M5 £34,100 £174.88 Max M6 £36,961 £189.55 Min U1 £38,690 £198.41 U2 £40,124 £205.77
I know all about the pay scales. Not a game to be starting now with the pension being changed. That and the pay scales being made very difficult to progress through. At least comparatively to 20 years ago. Also worth about £10k less than they should be due to years of no pay rise or 1%

Why are you so concerned about what people are willing to work for in arb? 100 a day is similar to nurses, teachers all of which require degree level training. Are you on there forums also worrying about how much they earn?
Teachers are 190 days a year or thereabouts

Apparently 42% of Americans support potentially triggering a nuclear war over Ukrainian sovereignty.

Your comment with that post are two different things. Direct intervention and going nuclear are not the same thing as an abstract question. If they were asked about nukes I think even the American public would see that as an utterly stupid idea

The Russians are not in Ukraine to kill Ukrainian civilians they are there to remove Zelensky from power. They would've already carpet bombed all the major cities on day one if they wanted slaughter of civilians on a mass scale and to destroy Ukraine.
Do you know anything about the history of Ukraine, Russia and the USSR? it's clear you dont.

I think you’ve been watching to much RT.

It’s not though is it. It was a big buffer zone if he decides to annex it like crimea it won’t be a buffer at all nato will be on his border not with thousand of kilometres of Ukraine in between

If Ukraine wants to live in peace then they should not poke the Bear. Ukraine joining NATO is essentially putting the US along the Russian Boarder and I can quite see why Russia is not accepting this any more than the US did not accept the USSR having a Missile Base in Cuba. The US invaded Cuba via various covert and overt means and the US is still punishing Cuba for it til this day.
Its easy to fall for the Western MSM Propaganda machine but some critical thinking is needed before we swallow it all down like soup.
He is essentially putting Russia next to Poland which is a nato country…..

It is a nightmare it has taken 8 days to fill 6 holes top and bottom, taking 2 days to dry each fill, I have it in a carport, not warm.
Yes epoxy can be very slow to cure. No way to cheat and make it go faster

I ended up sanding it down and making a little moat around the cracks as close to the edge as possible with some w4 caravan mastic bit like blutac and just refilled it give it a few blasts with the heat gun hopefully that will do it.
I have been using one of those little plastic droppers that come with a kit of cups and stirrers they work well but a syringe would work better.
i will post some pics when there done.Plastic scrapers are good at filling crack as well if just doing the last little bits or even a first fill. Scrape the epoxy all over the cracks a good few times. Loads of ways of doing it.
I spend half my working week or more on fibreglass and carbon fibre etc. epoxy takes some getting used to compared to poly.
