  1. We are aware of some issues with a limited number of the HL heads and we are in constant communication with STIHL group to establish a solution. We do understand that problems with your equipment makes life difficult and want to support anyone who has this. If you do encounter a problem, please take the product to your local STIHL approved dealers. Approved dealers have direct contact with our technical team and are best placed to support you. Our warranty policy covers situations where the product has failed due to a defect in materials or manufacturing. If you do have an issue you would like to raise directly with us, please email [email protected] and we will do our best to help. The image you shared there (from the facebook page) is from a user who we are in touch now and are resolving the issue as quickly as we possibly can. Paul
  2. Hi Scott, thanks for the feedback. There's a few factors at play - weight, balance and ergonomics being some of the key ones. A battery slot could be a good feature to have and that may be addressed in the future. For now, taking the weight out the tool for ease of use was the priority. Thanks, Paul
  3. Thanks Steve - you beat us to it. The KMA 130 came into stock this month and the first units have just shipped to our dealers. If you are interested in seeing it, best call them in advance as not all dealers will have them quite yet. It performs well with all the petrol kombi attachments with the exception of the bent shaft grass trimmer which is a domestic attachment and the cordless kombi head is too powerful for it. Like the BGA 100 blower, FSA 130 grass trimmer and HSA 94 hedge trimmers, you can choose from 3 power settings with a flick of a switch on the handle. It doesn't have a battery slot so you run it on the STIHL AP batteries via a belt or backpack, or the STIHL AR backpack batteries. We hope you agree it's good to have a choice between cordless and petrol tools, and if you've already invested in the kombi attachments, it is relatively easy to add a cordless powerhead. Thanks, Paul
  4. Hi, If you want to do a M-tronic reset on the MS 261 C-M, start the engine, leave it on idle for 90 seconds and then switch it off. Do not rev it during the reset process. Hope that helps. Paul
  5. Morning, Thanks for all the positive comments on the new saw - it's a really exciting launch for us. We've had injection technology on our TS 500i cut off saw which was launched around 6 years ago. STIHL's fuel injection injects the correct amount of fuel into the crankcase in sync with the engine cycle and the mix is ignited at the optimal moment. This video shows it in action (injection cycle from 43 seconds.) As Steve mentioned at the top of this thread, a preview of the saw will be at the Arb show at Westonbirt, alongside the new MS 462 C-M. Pop along to the stand to have a look. The MS 500i hasn't been priced yet but will be in the new STIHL catalogue from February 2019. Thanks Paul
  6. Hi Matthew, it’s Carmen from STIHL here. I see you're considering a number of brands, but for info, we do have cordless chainsaws available.as part of our PRO Cordless System - this also has over 25 other tools in the range (brushcutters, hedge trimmers, pole pruners etc), which the batteries can be swapped between, and we are developing new cordless tools all the time so there will be more tools available that use the same battery in the future. In the PRO cordless range, we have the MSA 160, the MSA 200 and a top-handled MSA 160 T (all details here: https://www.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/STIHL-Cordless-Power-Systems/PRO-Cordless-Power-System-for-large-gardens-and-professionals/030634/Cordless-Li-Ion-chainsaws.aspx). The PRO cordless saws can also be used with a backpack battery so if, further down the line, you decide you do want to use it for longer periods of time, you have the option for a longer run time. If you’re in the area, we will be at the Arb Show at Westonbirt Arboretum on 11th and 12th May and will have some cordless saws being demonstrated there so you can come along and see them in action if you want to see how they measure up? Let me know if you need any other info. Thanks!
