  2. What about planting giant redwoods? They grow meahassive! some for sale on eBay.
  3. Just checked the Knotweed patch for fresh growth and there were 2 stems which I have cut. Five years ago there were hundreds. So it has worked.
  4. I had a patch of knotweed probably and area of 15Mx10m with 1-2M stems. I bought an injection tool from the US from JK injection systems. Then I injected the stems with neat glyphosate in late Summer. It certainly worked as there were only 10% of stems the next year and I have kept hammering them every Summer for 5 years. I get the odd stem popping up but nothing like what was there before. My advice is keep monitoring the patch and keep injecting. Maybe a large syringe would do the job, or an old sheep worming needle. Hope you get rid of it.
  5. Well after all the posts I ordered 25L direct from rye oil.co.uk and it works out at £12 per 5L much cheaper than Stihl oil which is around £18 per 5L. That includes tax & delivery to NW Highlands so a no brainer for me. From my own experience of using Amazon to sell it is a pain and they take a fair whack from you. Much better to contact the company direct and give them the trade rather than some tax dodging multinational.
  6. I used Roundup 360 unmixed in late summer injected above the first node so the weedkiller goes down to the Rhizome with the nutrients before the plant dies off for the year. Only works in late summer though. I am listing my JK1000 injecting tool on ebay tonight 99p start 10 day auction. You can see the photos of devastated knotweed.
