  1. I guess it's a learning curve for me to find the best way to be prepared for this kind of thing. It's difficult as a small Buisness. On one hand you gotta take first class care of your blokes. The other side is Iam not getting as many jobs done so the money isn't coming in.

Maybe encouraging everyone to have personal accident insurance and have a long list of capable subbies to step in quick so at least you don't loose the income would be the best plan. Anyone got any other ideas?

  2. Hi chaps, I've got a Job to do in Eltham, London. ( out of our usual AO) It means parking the chipper at the side of the road / on the pavement. The road is wide enough not to disrupt the traffic. Do you need permission from the council to stop on red lines all times or just normal working hours?

    Thanks

    Nick

  3. I would say it can save 2hrs a day never mind a week! The amount of time it saves when chipping out a lump of concrete. Now I can just put the claw on it pull it out clean with out an hand vibration smashing or breaking it and so much quicker. Granted a heavy duty engine hoist could probably pull a post out, I think the main difference is this is designed to support the post as it comes out, then tip it back and wheel it around to where you want it. I would imagine there's not many engine hoists which would be a pleasure to push over rough ground.

There's only two physically hard things with fencing. Getting the old posts out and digging the new ones in and this bit of kit can make it effortless which can only be a good thing!

  4. Got it from post puller uk. Mega expensive at 2k + vat, however like most things you get what you pay for. It's extremely well built and the claw is bombers. Will be worth it in the long run with the effort it will save!
