Hi chaps,

Have been asked to plant 15 7ft ewe trees. It's not our normal thing but we have a big auger for our boxer so thought why not. Just after some advice really in how long it may take?

Spec is to plant 15 trees, dig 36" wide whole, 20" deep. Fill with 6" sand then 2" soil. Plant then back fill with top soil. All materials are on site, waste soil can be moved on site.

I thought maybe two men and a boxer one day? Never done it so would appreciate any advice?

After 1.5hrs of using my brand new predator 28RX today I managed to crack a pipe fitting on the bottom of the track drive and leak most of the hydraulic oil everywhere! Must of driven over a small stick.

It really looks like it needs a protective plate to save the dangly pipes from destruction. Has anybody made any Mods to theirs? Thought it would be a bit more robust!

For the last three days I have made the mistake of trimming conifer hedges using a scaffold tower.

I've got my quad insured with the NFU on a tractor policy and its costs just under £200 a year with road use and any driver.

My Chipper is insured with the NFU for £10k cover as part of my tipper insurance. Cost me an extra £80 a year, that was it.

I do my own. Got an old surface grinder off eBay. Works a treat. Doesn't take long depending what's ended up through the chipper!

Looks great, I need a remote one as I have started to get HAVS! I definitely want a narrow one to get through garden gates. Any idea on the real performance difference between the petrol and diesel as the diesel one would be soooooo much cheaper to run in the long term?

Iam after a new predator and after

Some advice from people that have had one. The decision is weather a diesel is better even though its less powerful because of life time running costs or the 38 petrol is better because it cuts so much faster you use the machine for half as long.

Any advice from operators would be greatly received!
