  1. OK pluses of immigration: 1. Different music, theater and cultural differences. 2. 24 hour garages 3. Hospital cleaners 4. Housing extensions Some minuses of immigration: 1. Murder rate in London going through roof due to black violence. 2. Housing crisis as not enough houses for everyone. 3. Building on greenbelt to try and house everyone. 4. Increased congestion on roads. 5. Terrorism and Rotherham. 6. Pressure on public services like NHS. OK, everyone has a different viewpoint. However it honestly seems like the minuses of immigration are bigger than the pluses.... All the while 99% of politicians bleat on at how good immigration is for the UK.... Some people here might like getting lied to by politicians but I hate being treated like a mug....
  2. Ohhhh, what other groups in history have tried to shut down debate? Are you really happy standing beside the likes of the Nazis in shutting down debate? It's almost as if you don't have any confidence in your own arguments?
  3. How do you know they "have been paying taxes all these years"? Dont get me wrong, if they've been here fifty years and been working all that time they should be allowed to stay. However if they've not been working that long or have a criminal record they should be deported... When you watch the news just look at the news stories that paint white people in a bad light and brown people as victims. The windrush story is a fairly typical story as it shows white people as racist and brown people as victims.. There are 400 "Brits" that have come back to Britain after fighting with Islamic State. I think we'd all agree that's a more important story than this windrush story, however the media rarely mention it.... Because it shows brown people in a negative light....
  4. Come on Skyhuck, you must admit the story being presented in the media about the Windrush has many holes... Modern Brits go abroad relatively frequently (apart from your wife of course). Does anyone really think that these windrush migrants haven't been abroad in fifty years? What passport did they use when they went abroad? Was it a Jamaican passport? If they've been in the country for fifty years why have they not applied for a British passport before.... It just doesn't make sense if they consider themselves British...
  5. Here is a photo of a massive bell in Russia called the "Tsar Bell". Seemingly it weighs two hundred tonnes and Russians used to have church services inside. Napoleon tried to take it back to Paris when he invaded Russia but it was too big. As you can see from the photo it's missing it's end. Maybe you could use your unique skill as a massive bell end to fix the end of this massive bell?
  6. Imagine getting forced to live in a place like this? #mediamanipulation
  7. Sadly we live in an age where hysterical emotional arguments get more attention than cold rational arguments. White farmers in South Africa are facing constant attacks and murders. Christians in the Middle East are facing genicide. What story is the media focus sing on? Elderly people that might be forced to live in island paradises like Jamaica... I could think of worse places to spend my twilight years....
  8. IMHO , the windrush story is getting pushed in the media for three reasons: 1. It's another story the media can push to show how racist and evil whitey is. 2. It's to embarrass the Tories. 3. It softens the public's opposition to immigration.
  9. I'm not really convinced you know what you're talking about. The windrush migrants in the Guardian article below are in their fifties and sixties. You really think someone in their sixties is too old to get on a plane and go abroad? I bet the real story here is that they came to the UK fifty years ago and never got a British passport because either: A. They came here unofficially and shouldn't actually be in the UK. Or B. Because they don't consider themselves British.... https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/apr/15/why-the-children-of-windrush-demand-an-immigration-amnesty?CMP=fb_gu
  10. Ohhh, I've paid tax in lots of countries, does that mean I can get passport for each country? Are you someone else that thinks these windrush migrants have never left the country?
  11. Maybe you should be booking some plane tickets then? I don't know any adult that's never been abroad....
  12. How many people in the UK have never been abroad? Yet we're meant to believe all these windrush immigrants came here 50 years ago and have never went back "home" to see grandparents or been abroad for a holiday etc.... I believe you're the moron here.
  13. Go back far enough and I bet someone else used to stay in your house. Does that mean I'm welcome to come and stay with you?
  14. You really think someone would come to the UK as a kid and never go home to see family or see where their roots are? They do have passports... Just not British ones....
  15. Other big news is that everyone is going on about the "windrush" immigrants. Seemingly some people have been here for fifty plus years and they've never applied for British passports but are still British....
  16. Perhaps have two stoves in your house? That way you can burn your stove(s) at maximum efficiency regardless of the weather. Or connect your stove to a heat store?
  17. IMHO, EU immigration is all about Government bowing down to big business and importing workers that accept rubbish pay and conditions.... I just wish the media were a little more vocal about telling the great British public how much immigration actually costs the taxpayer....
  18. I saw this table yesterday.... It shows the cost of a typical EU immigrant family to the British taxpayer.... An EU family of two parents and two kids costs the best part of £30k a year to the taxpayer.... Thank god we voted Brexit. We simply don't have enough money to look after all these low skilled immigrants....
  19. How about a bit of compassion for the taxpayer? The problem with you lefties is that you dole out cash like Santa on ectasy but you don't consider the people that have to pay the tax... IMHO, a lot of the time we're too generous with people that don't deserve a lot of sympathy....
  20. I hope you're not implying arbtalk users get their kicks out of being "adult babies"?
  21. The typical Arab doesn't have much of a work ethic.... I've spent quite a lot of time in the Middle East and most of their industries are oil based. Yeah, there's quite a lot of cement/ chemical/ aluminium works etc, however they all depend on oil... Africa has plenty gold and diamond reserves....
  22. From what I've seen of Dubai its economy is basically: 1. Being a massive brothel for Saudi Arabians. 2. Being a tourist destination for Europeans. It's obviously Dubai's ambitions to have a tourist based economy. However for 6 months of the year it's unbearably hot and there's really not much to do apart from shopping and pumping prostitutes. Over the coming decades we can guess that: 1. There will be a terrorist attack in Dubai and expats and tourists will leave. 2. New aircraft will mean Brits can fly to Australia etc without having to stop and refuel in Dubai. 3. Dubai will run out of money and won't be able to subsidise airlines. 4. Neighbouring countries will run out of oil (money) and they won't spend so much in Dubai. Dubai hardly has a stable long term economy....
  23. Well in fifty years time when the ME runs out of oil we can leave them to their goat herding and pearl fishing....
  24. Wow! Another of your posts that talks sense! Are you getting more right wing in your old age? Three years ago the media reported Yazidi women getting sold in slave markets and people getting burned alive in cages. Now the "side" that were behind these human rights abuses are getting taken apart by Russia and we're meant to feel sorry for them.... Tbh, the West should just accept that secular dictators are the best option in the Middle East. Secular democracies don't work when a large part of your society want to drag a country back to the dark ages... In Vietnam the yanks used some fairly vicious weapons against Vietnamese civilians. It's a bit rich of Trump to criticise Syria...
  25. How about our best pal in the Middle East? Saudi? You not think they are doing their best to destabilise the world? They are destroying Yemen (which the media doesn't seem to report) and they export their extreme version of Islam throughout the world. In a war between Saudi and Iran/ Russia I would be supporting Iran/ Russia... What we should be doing is investing in renewables so we don't have to cosy up to Saudi for their oil.... If we all had electic cars we could leave the Middle East to their civil wars....
