This old Farm Force will work a treat and will be able to put all my crap in front Instead of the cab .£150 Was a bargain .

Still a lot to do to finish it.

I may climb the odd Rhoddhendron now and then .

Picked a Hernia up a 3 weeks ago and feels like my Mrs has a Voodoo   doll and kicks it in the knackers  when I piss her off ... maybe having a bit of time off sooner than I think lol.

Has with the pug 205 they will never make that same recipe again so grab a 461 before they ruin it! :D

  4. Look out for Yanmars.  ..absolute bullet proof , many out there with low hours min 22hp if you want to run a small flail .

My little Yanmar has ran faultless for 7 years and put 700 hours grass cutting .

    Finishing mower and Flail mowing.

You may pay more but maintenance of mowers is near zero compared to a Ride on mower ... been there and ate 4 ride on mowers before common sense hit me .

  7. Has any one looked at the husqvarna HE3. For a start it's gearbox is a lot more heavy duty with proper casings and proper bearings! You will wear the stihl out if you going to be using it all day.

Bought my Stihl HSA 86 Hedgecutter in 2014 and no problems with gearbox and used almost daily on maintenance.

  8. Viking mowers are excellent and very user friendly, 6 Series 4 wheeler is the dogs bollocks for wet/winter mowing.

The roller mowers very much similar but if you come across a lot of deep Moss then the tiny rear roller does not cope well otherwise excellent.

Parts and repairs cheap has chips but stay away from second hand well used mowers .

  9.

I would consider a battery brush cutter myself and would be interested to hear how they cope with rough grass, brambles etc.

I use one of the straight shaft cordless strimmer everyday for edging and that's has far has it goes .....edging.

They tie themselves in a knot on anything bigger.

    Absolutely great for maintenance.

  10. like i said for me i wouldnt go battery unless i have to, not being funny to the likes of stihl and husky equipment, but i do a lot of landscaping and fencing and used all of the big names in battery equipment millwake bosh dewalt makita and other brands. Even with the new generation batteries the more times you charge them the less use time you end up getting from the battery and weather can kill them to getting to hot or freezing cold, and these guys have been doing battery tools for more years than husky and stihl combined in there battery eventure

Interesting to keep hearing from folk saying the more you keep charging the less time you get from your Battery .... .well coming up to 3 years and both Batteries are still has strong has when I bought them .

  11. Cracking mower and still a few late models knocking about , will cut 3ft tall grass and will cut a fine lawn and leave a good finish .

I still run a Hydrostatic Condor and only replace sprockets on cutting deck and a few belts in 9 years.

The Hydrostatic gearbox is a peach to use , older models were clunk click box .

Harry the cat on e bay/here always has a few for sale .

  12. We can all be guilty at time of nailing our colours to a mast and go in a bit rose tinted when it comes to machines. In this instance the JCB genuinely surprised me when I originally tried the 86c, and after John Craig who never really comments on carrier machines, after installing Engcon on just about every known brand said you simply have to try their 6 tonner, something was changing?

Fast forward a bit, and some respected Owner Operators are taking them now, plus pushing them on in spec with Tiltrotators and attachments.

They are certainly gaining momentum, and that can only help residual values.

The main factor in this deal is I was able to spec all the options direct from the factory, longer dipper, auxiliary pipework circuits, case drain, blade float, front and top certified guards, led lighting package, chaff guards, travel alarm, strobes, hydraulic quick hitch, etc etc.

Nothing was purchased that had to be removed or altered by the supplying dealer, and I think the only job they have is bolting the rubber blocks onto the steel tracks and two side led's.

This route of not purchasing a machine that is simply Plant Hire spec and requires a lot of dealer input or third party, like my Kobelco unit, provided a saving of nearly 3k over the two rivals he had pricing, and no warranty arguments that someone else has been messing here?

Yet to arrive and will have to prove itself, but it's certainly turned some heads in the purchasing stage.

    Eddie.

Hi Eddie, which Dealer you using for Your Kobelco.
