  1. Is it? Not for me. I enjoy every bit of having a stove, and get more obsessed as time goes on. Its a daft little Aga Wenlock, but unless wood buying in addition to that I can season myself prices me out of the market considerably, then I'll keep my stove (and other one next year).
  2. Im interested too if this is still available, thanks.
  3. Home Bargains sell Verdo Bricks in packs of 6 for £2.49. Although they wont replace logs for me, they are a handy alternative and I buy a tenners worth a month as a back up. They can be hard to start and dont look as nice as real wood but give out a decent heat in my 5kw stove (one brick split into 3/4 lasts about 2 hours or so). They do make a lot of mess (IMO) but are easy to store. I can understand why people are turning to these for a lot of the reasons already mentioned above.
  4. Id bite your hand off if I was just a few miles nearer Barnsley Bob.
  5. Dave, dont get me wrong. I dont want them at a discount, I would just like to find someone who offers them at all. Sorry (again) In answer the OP, the (with delivery) offers Ive seen in my researching were between £110 to £250. Most were companies that offered nationwide delivery anyway.
  6. (As a brand new member, sorry to jump on this thread) Im a NW Lancs lass, and have been looking for stockists in the NW to supplement my 'need at least a year to season' wood supply. (To order in Summer - so may appreciate be far too early at the mo) It seems very difficult to find a price with delivery included. Its also extremely difficult to find someone who would like to sell unseasoned logs (just to add that)
  7. Depends on the delivery range, surely?
