  1. Yer I know. I am not comparing them just wondering what it's like, and if anyone had one do they think there worth the extra money, I like the gm. 150 just wonder if it will still be nice and strong in ten years like the tw150
  2. Changing topic but anyone used a tw 190 turbo? I been looking at them. Also what would you all go for, green mech or timberwolf, for build quality, price. Reliability, and resale value?
  3. Ha ha that's funny, serves them right, they will always pay up,
  4. Tip a load of chip on there drive, say they called you and asked for it, it's your word against there's same as them saying they don't ow you money, It winds me up people thinking you will work for free!!
  5. Nice big drive there mate. Was a straight fell out the question?
  6. Start tipping your crap on there drive, full loads of chip, crap logs popular conifer. They will soon pay as it will cost them a lot more to get it moved
  7. Don't buy off ebay the only person who knows what's wrong with the chipper is the seller, and they won't tell you, I have fallen for that a few times, but off a dealer then at least you get a warranty
  8. Hi all any one got the new quad chip or used it? Was wondering what there like if it's worth spending the extra on the quad rather than the gm 150 are you getting a lot more for your money or are you just getting the turn table?
  9. I am in the same boat here, I have had a gm 150 all weekend on demo and we are having the forst on Wednesday for a demo, I honestly don't know what to think of the green mech it's new, looks great but wonder if it will still be working as well in 10 years time. I have used timberwolf 150 for the last 10 years and i know they are still going strong today even after that amount of time, the green mech will out chip the timberwolf on awkward branches all day, just the timberwolf seems a little more solid, I know your not asking about the timberwolf, but I have not used the forst yet so can't comment but will after I have used it, like you say spending that sort of money on a new chipper is something you only want to do once in the next ten years so it needs to be the right one,
  10. Yes I have thought about that today. The timberwolf is so easy and a lot easier to get to the engine, but with the green mech the blades are so much easier to change and also have turntable blades which is so much faster and easier, also I would have to say I like the green mech as you can grease the main bearings where timberwolf it's a solid unit and we all know timberwolf have chocolate bearings, well the 150 does anyway, 1 thing I can say about the green mech 150 is it will eat the most awkward of branches where as the timberwolf would not stand a chance you really don't have to sned that much
  11. I heard side by side they are the same, just I think the timber wolf is a little more aggressive
  12. I had the gm 150 34hp on demo today, not too sure if I like it although it did grow on my thru out the day, I don't know if I could say it was better than the 150 timberwolf! Got the forst coming Monday for a demo looking forward to that,
  13. mate you got a 190 turbo? what are they like i am thinking of buying one, are they that good? do you find the weight an issue as in clutch on your van? and do you think they are worth the extra pennies?
  14. mate you got a 190 turbo? what are they like i am thinking of buying one, are they that good? do you find the weight an issue as in clutch on your van? and do you think they are worth the extra pennies?
  15. Yer I did look at the turn table one, and the quad Chip gm, I just thought it might be worth the extra for a bigger machine like the 190, but might look at getting a demo off the forst now as it seems to have good feed back, out of interest does anyone have the 190 turbo and what's it like? I have a demo of that soon! And I will get a demo off a few others I think, just the 150are light and all round good machine
  16. Cheers for the advice lads, I am in Birmingham, I have looked at the forst but can't get any one to give me a price, does anyone know how much they are?to be fair I am a little unsure about that on board computer thing they got, is that going to be a nightmare in a few years breaking down and not working, what I was wondering is for the extra 4000 is the 190 a much better chipper, or is the green mech just as good just a little less power?
  17. What you think the green mech 150 34hp is the one to go for rather than the 190 turbo? Yes I looked at the forst just not really heard a lot about them
  18. Can anyone help I want to buy a new chipper, I am looking at the green mech 150 34hp, but am wondering if it is worth the extra money and getting a 190 turbo, has anyone got one of these? And can tell me what you think, obviously the 190 will be worth more in 5 years, just wondering if it's worth the extra pennies?
  19. Timber cutter even sorry
  20. Thanks for your response lads. Tree cutter that's what I have been looking at with the Briggs engine. Have you used one? Do you know if they are any good?
