  1. Ha! What can I say? You got me. Gareth's post was so moronic, it made me laugh and I laughed and called him a moron: big old base hypocrite me. (He had quoted my post quoting his and then asked where he had said what I then he had just quoted). So yeah, Well done. Edit: But when the error of my ways was pointed out to me, didn't I apologise and take time out for reflection? I think I did but cba to look. Edit 2. OK just looked back at Gareth's post: made me laugh all over again: he cracks me up. Edit 3. I gotta say though, for someone who is always throwing their weight around, playing the big tough guy, laughing and mocking at other people's imagined hurt feelings, it's a helluva tiny thing to get upset about. The integrity you demand from other posters is verging on the psychopathic to be honest. Anyway. I'm back. Up yours ugly! Yourn
  2. No the anxiety felt by you and the lads when faced by something that hey might take a bit of thought... but nah crock o shite, don't want to seem a wuss in front of the lads do we, best not show any appreciation of anything in front of the lads.
  3. Name calling. Infantile name-calling. Is that all you are capable of?
  4. Maybe it's the result of anxiety.
  5. This is just boring now: at least try to engage.
  6. Don't believe you.
  7. Thanks SP, That's just what I was getting at but much more betterer expressed by you. My fault for doing physics I guess. Happy days Yourn
  8. Well I've told you you are mistaken and I've suggested a solution and yet you persist. The fault now really does lie with you and your interpretation of my posts. I do sometimes need to take a breath, yes; sometimes when I'm writing, or studying, or researching my breathing and heart rate slow right down until I feel I must have entered an almost zen like state of calm, an altered state of consciousness concentrated entirely on the task at hand, no exterior world exists, the inner being is all; then I suddenly come to with a massive intake of breath like you do sometimes when coming to out of a deep deep sleep. It interests me. No, not even anger at Trump. With Trump I'm bewildered, perplexed, dumbfounded maybe, I don't know maybe I'll think of the right word just after I hit submit; he is too ridiculous to take seriously so you can't be angry with him (not being an American m'self: I'm sure I would be if I was, but then who could blame me for that eh?). He just seems so petty, selfish, uncaring, spiteful, I'm at a loss to understand, he so goes against everything we have come to believe in, we can only think that he is in league with Russia and we feel that that is wrong because Russia (of old and the criminal oligarchy of new) have/has constantly sought to undermine the western ideal of individual freedom. The world seems to have turned many generations in just a few weeks.
  9. OK You think I'm angry: we get that now. Does it really make a difference? Maybe it's the way you read my posts. Try reading them more slowly, with a world-weary smile of resignation, languidly even; then, maybe you might better capture the spirit in which they were written. ie peaceful.
  10. so, again, give me a reason for your saying this, something specific, something that can be answered; rather than this continual stream of - god knows what: a mish mash of petty accusation and imagined insult - what do you call it? What leads you to say this? Which of my posts suggest anger to you? But no you are meant to refute my opinion or justify your own: by rational argument: why would you refute your own opinion?
  11. Is that really the best that you can do? Totally unable to justify your or refute other opinions you resort to "you're talking shite mate" again and again and again and again. You never actually take issue with anything you just bang your knee on the table and away you go: shit post after shit-post after shitpost,
  12. "not shocked: disappointed, frustrated, losing faith & hope, vexed... many feelings but not shocked." exasperated even: none of these imply anger. What troubles you so?
  13. None of my quoted feelings are at odds with being calm and peaceful: one can be calm and peaceful and all those things too. You really are clutching at straws now.
  14. No. If you can't work it out for yourself, it's not worth trying to explain.
  15. Making up guesses about what I think to fit your agenda. One promoted western values of maximal freedom for the maximal number of people t'other sought to demoralise... jesus Gareth, this isn't even worth answering: none of your shit is.
  16. 'Fall from grace' again I asked you to expand on what you mean by this, I took a guess, I told you I changed my mind. You have a problem with that? Really? As to quiet Sunday, well Sunday's are usually for quiet aren't they? So like Durr Mr Durbrain, yeah quiet: but since you ask. t'were a late start, late porridge then out all day to do scuzzball-lefty conservation work _a beauty day, beauty sunshine and deep blue sky, with buzzards red kites and ravens. What more c'd you want? Home now for tea (hence flurry of replies). Day well spent.
  17. Don't know who this is aimed at, but if it's aimed at me then no, not shocked: disappointed, frustrated, losing faith & hope, vexed... many feelings but not shocked. So stop making shit up.
  18. If you had been here you would have done, if had been a subject for discussion on arbtalk, you would have done; although I don't listen to it, I thought it's 'demise' was a very poor show. Just stop making shit up ffs.
  19. Er, you do know that RFE was set up to promote 'western values' & concepts of liberty and free speech and a news and information service to people all over Europe whose only other source of information was a heavily censored communist party approved broadcast news? You speak (here and with your Lord Haw Haw comment) as if it was lefty propaganda aimed at some imaginary 'other' audience. It's value, again, for promoting 'our' view of the world was always considered to be way beyond that of the western armies in Europe (B.A.O.R. & Merkin equivalent etc) and at a fraction of the cost.
  20. He's running a country, not a company: they are different: one has to maximise profit for shareholders t'other has to maximise services for citizens. It was always recognised that RFE was priceless in maintaining a western presence in Eastern Europe.
  21. Also, I've been thinking of late,"If only Dennis Leary were still about, surely there is no better time than the present for him to do a new version of his song". Well guess what? He is and he has. Altogether now: "He's an asshole, he's an asshole, he's the world's biggest asshole" Makes my happy that! Linky to unfortunately sanitized ut clip
  22. Well at least you're not stubborn any more.
  23. Meanwhile, the Voice of Hope in the Darkness of Oppression has been closed down: Radio Free Europe (which you may only have heard of as an R.E.M. song) broadcast hope to the eastern bloc countries throughout the years of the cold war and continued to be a thorn in the side of Putin & Lukashenko. Well it's gone, not finally defeated by force or intrigue: all Putin had to do in the end was ask The Donald to close it down for him. Excerpt from Wiki reads Proposal by DOGE to shut down [edit] In February 2025 the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) put forward a proposal for RFE/RL and Voice of America as two government-owned media agencies, to be considered for closure as a cost saving measure for the U.S. federal government.[76] The latest proposal comes after previous suggestions by other government officials to shutter the agency.[77][78] In March 2025, DOGE imposed a 30-day total freeze on funding to RFE/RL and other USAGM outlets, with the intention of making that permanent.[79] Linky to original story
  24. Er that's population CHANGE it says so right there in the top left corner: twenty new people in an underpopulated area is a BIG change: the same in a city is negligible; hence with a generally increasing population, areas of low population show large changes. Hence it it is different from the first map because it is not showing the same thing!
