Hi guys, I thought I’d take a punt on here to see if anyone of north London is looking for a climber. I’m from north Stoke newington, age 22. I. Studied at Plumpton college 6 years ago where I got my Level 2, Level 3 and extended Level 3. I also hold CS30, 31, 38, 39, stump grinding cert and am first aid trained too. My Climbing kit is fully lolered and I have the correct ppe. I have plenty of experience in reduction and thin work and occasionally do take downs. Am easy to get on with and love to work hard with good people. My down side is I don’t have a driving license. All the best guys and girls I look forward to hearing from you Regards Tom Coleman 07496910821 [email protected]

  6. Hi guys, I’m looking to find a good service workshop to get my 020t looked at. I’m in Stoke Newington. is there any workshops near me you’d recommend?
  7. On one of the main stems of the plane tree I have been inspecting, I came across this measuring about 8 inches. On such a significant part of the tree, what are the actions to take? Further up the crown it seemed to be heathy with a few long scraggly dead bits. At this stage is monitoring all that can be done? I must add I am new to Massaria inspections And appreciate new information on the disease Cheers!!
  8. Thanks guys that’s really helpful and how about personal accident insurance?
  9. Hey guys I thought I’d just ask about professional insurance. I am thinking of getting some as a free lance climber, is there any good insurance company’s you’d recommend? Also any advice with it would be appreciated! Cheers

  16. Hi guys, 3 years ago I broke my back falling 40ft out of an oak. After 6 months recovery, I got back into it. Since then I have been using a hitch climber setup with a nut knot as I found it an easier on the body at the time compared to the prussik which I was on before. Still on the hitch climber, I am now looking to step out the box and spend some money on an mechanical prussik in the hope to prolog my time in arb before my body catches up on me. I have been looking at a few devices and the SpiderJack 3 caught my eye as high ranking contender.. What do you guys think? Thanks! Tom

  19. Hi, My name is Tom, im 17 and study forestry and arboriculture at Plumpton college in east sussex. I am struggling to find some basic payed work over the summer. I have just achieved my Level 2 diploma in forestry and arboriculture and now moving onto the level 3 corse in september. i have not yet got any of my Cutting or Climbing tickets which could be a problem for me. I spent a year doing voluntary work for David Humphries and his arb team at Hampstead heath, there i did climbing, solo dead wooding jobs, dragging, pruning, tree id,tree inspections and little bit of chipping. I currently have a helmet with visor and ear defenders, chainsaw boots. I sadly dont have my cutting trousers yet as i am struggling to buy a pair. I live in the area of N16, Hackney. Thanks Tom Coleman
