  7. In the future I will most likely buy a new saw off the internet and then go running to local dealer for parts and service. How many of you do the same. Thing is the price difference can be deal breaker or maker especially when buying a saw every few years for part time use
  8. Hi my nearest dealer for Makita is Terratruck Loughborough. I lost my oil filler cap on my saw the other day so I called in on sat to order a new one. 10. I ve been following the thread about buying a Stihl or husky saw and I ve a few questions the husky 135 is a lot less HP than the Stihl 171 or 181 is that significant also I m interested in buying another saw I ve a Makita DCS 500 on a 18" bar which I like a lot but we have a lot of smaller timber where a smaller saw would be handy so I was thinking of a smaller bar for this saw but if I m spending 60 quid on this would it be better to put another £100 to it a buy a small saw to run along side my bigger saw ? Thanks

Which make is the easier to look after and service ? .Or would you buy a new saw from one of the main makers but from a range that's not built for professional use ?
