  1. There is no perfect manufacturer, I buy what I like, think will last and do the job I need. Tanaka, Shindaiwa, Jonsered, Echo have all had a happy home with me though the full time saws are Stihl and Husky, they've all earned their keep bar one echo top handle which was just awful. Anybody who stands shouting about one brand above all others while putting the others down is just ignorant and silly.
  2. Sounds like something is loose or worn, is the handle floppy?
  3. I said spitfires not pilots, wouldn't be sharing Emily Blunt with the RAF, no sir
  4. Stihl seem to be more emissions restricted from the factory. There are two easy mods that seem to make a big difference on the 201t 1. a muffler mod involving another hole drilled where it won't burn the plastic cover 2. Advance the timing by shaving the key and rotating the outside edge of flywheel anti-clockwise by 5\7mm Seen the videos on YouTube by blsnelling and it is supposed to run better than a 200t When my 200 dies I'll be getting a modded 201
  5. Spas 12 shotgun, proper samurai sword and a mini-gun And a mountain top airbase with two squadrons of Spitfires And Emily Blunt
  6. Sugoi, it's brilliant. Folding gomboy as a spare in my bag, good for tight spots. Used to have the big telescopic hayauchi, that was good too. Knew a bloke who hated Silky and said they snapped too easily, I've never had trouble so maybe it was just him bending them
  7. Use it most when up a tree, on a top handles I use it all the time. With a rear handle on the ground if I put it down running the brake goes on, if I'm holding it then my hand is on the front handle ready so I don't bother until I move my hand and it goes on then. I've had buildups of crud on outboard sprockets where even full rev brake engagement won't stop the chain so it's worth keeping that in mind P.S. hello all, nice to be here
