  2. I mean for cutting the lengths into logs. I normally cut half way through,then role the log and nip through the other half. It's just a pain in the arse and Im killing my back,I'm looking for something to help me log quicker. As I Said when I have my lad he pushes a length over a splitting log and I just cut logs as he pushes.

  4. Right chaps im sick to death of bending over and logging on the ground when im on my own,when ive got my lad we just slide a length over a stump one of us cut the other push/load! so any good tips for when im on my own??

  8. im selling 8ft lengths of mainly sycamore with some ash and oak,needs to be picked up,dont know exactly how many tonne but i would guess at around 25 tonne? ip17 1pd 07990652715

  11. Ive just bought a nissan nivara d22 does anyone know what cubic meter the buck holds......and advice on the price i should charge for it? its all hard wood mainly ash and oak?
  12. i didnt have a clue i could sell them there is millions of saplings. will someone come and collect them,how much are they worth? im looking to try and make the wood healthier and try to get more other species rather than just 90 percent sycamore! how many of the ash do i copice? how many oaks do i clear,and which sycamore do i leave if any,what do i replant,i also need to take into consideration there is a shoot so need to let light in to encourage bramble and ground shrubs.

Ive taken on some woodland management, the woods are FULL of sycamore,ranging from tiny to huge but they are evrywhere ,with a scattering of huge ash and oak,with the odd chest nut etc the wood hasnt been touched for a lot of years if at all so im a bit confused where to start and what to re plant any suggestions and help would be great.

Right chaps need some advice/info im thinking about selling some lengths of ash and oak to a furniture maker,but am slightly worried i maybe about to be screwed over on price as i dont know what prices i should be charging. any info on how much a cubic foot etc??? Will i be able to make that much more than i would if i was selling it as fire wood?
