Jim I have one of these, I think it's a great bit of kit, well built, It will split knotty wood. Had it a few years now, not had any problems, will split knotty wood, but like anything there are limits to what it will cope with Usually do about 8 plus cube a year Never come across Lime, so couldn't say yea or nay on it. Have you watched this?

Question As you know I'm not an Arborist, just a home firewood logger I have 2 Chainsaws, a Dolmar 14" petrol and a Titan 14" Electric Both have Oregon 3/8th chains, is there any other info I need to know? Now I would like to "freshen" up the edge, and have come across the Stihl 2 in 1 sharpener. looks both quick, and efficient, and most importantly, fool proof Can I use it on these chains, or are Stihl and Oregon chains set differently. Or if they are set differently, and I use the sharpener, would it have a good or adverse effect on the saws

Steve the honey will take a few weeks to start working Do you live far from the sea? If it's not too far I would get to the beach in the evening for a walk (or a fishing session ) and get some sea air in your lungs, and less pollen there, will help with the hayfever

I suffered both Asthma and Hay fever from Childhood, the tablets the Doc gave me as a kid never helped, and the Hay fever made the Asthma really bad. (and my Dr wouldn't let me have an inhaler, said I would get addicted to it, I got one when I moved to Devon, because the tablets I was taking for Asthma were said to be "harmful" ) As a kid, and growing up, the more time I spent by and in the sea, the better I felt. I was still not good with the Hay fever 6 or 7 years ago, Asthma was diminishing, feels like it's gone now, 5 or 6 years ago And I haven't suffered Hay fever for at least 3 years The tablets are far better these days, I use Loratadine, PLUS for the last 3 years I've taken a teaspoon of local honey every day starting in early March

I used to have a Ford Galaxy, would carry a sizable quantity of logs (if stacked ) in the boot area, and only up to the bottom of the windows, 3 loads would fill one of my log stores 1.75m3 and some left over MPG was good too. Mine was sluggish though as it was only the 1.9TD version

Well after I watched this video, [ame] [/ame] I bought one.All I can say is, it's brilliant, even my Mrs enjoys splitting logs with it I hate swinging an axe, mainly cos I'm carp at it,

Will do, probably wont be till at least April/May, flat out with work till the end of March
