  1. And also top quality Cretan olive oil Today I visited two dealers and both of them suggested me buying the 560 due to it being more powerful and only 1 KG heavier.
  2. So I will go for the 560 to spare some mastic trees... They are unique you know. They only produce mastic in the southern part of Chiow and only there worldwide!
  3. LOL!!! So you suggest buying the 550??? This February I have to cut a 30" pine tree at Chios and several smaller mastic trees.
  4. I see!!!! Thanks for helping me! You must give me your address to send you a flames cover as a gift! In other forums overseas they consider the bigger chain better but they say a stronger saw is necessary.
  5. What is the "skip chain"? Got lost with the terms... excuse me.
  6. I see. But the 562XP which is actually the same as 560 has the ability to fit 28" bars!!! How come it manages to spin the 3/8 productively?
  7. Moreover here in Greece both the 560 and 550 are available only with 18" bars and the customer dont have the ability to change to another length prior to purchasing. Wish I there was a 18" tech-light which woyld make the saw great in my opinion. Do you agree with me that the 3/8 bar of the 560 with the 0.5 chain is an advantage over the 0.325 of the 560????
  8. Dear blackjack. Even I who I am not a pro logger find a 18 bar or bigger useful. So a 60cc saw is necessary in my opinion.
  9. As Eddie says I use motomix or special treated gas so as far as gas is concerned it ll be ok cause I empty them and let them burn all the gas before storing them. I meant the AT module. But it will adjust, Thank you all for your answers! Hopefully next week I ll go and get mine! I am very impressed with the vids I see with the 560-562 and most havent been tampered yet but everyone says they rock!!!
  10. I ve lost my sleep over this.... On the other hand and because I aint gong to buy a larger saw in my lifetime and because everyone is talking about a 2 saw plan of one 50 and one 70cc saw here is what i think. To get the 560 and make the 2 saw plan adjusted to my needs consisting o a 40cc (my 338XPT) and a 60cc (the 560XP). What do you think??? And a last question... Because I am not a pro logger and I wont be using it all year long, will there be any prob if it sits on the self for 4-5 months??? Thank you and a happy new year to us all!!!
  11. So..... After my visit at the Husqvarna exhibition here are some weight results... 550XP dry weight with 18" bar and chain attached 6,01 Kgs. 560XP dry weight with 18" bar and chain attached 7,10 Kgs Conclusion: The 550 is much lighter compared to its big brother. And I am afraid that the difference in weight will be increased if full with oil and gas due to its larger tank. Ouffffffffffffffff!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I am more confused...
  12. I like it too. Good job!
  13. Hopefully the dealers help and replace the faulty parts. I hope the one I ll buy is has already the improved stuff on it. Is there a way of me knowing it prior to buying it???
  14. Since last year I ve been using MOTOMIX even though I am a Husqvarna fan. The reason is because I couldnt find ASPEN were I live. In my opinion it is much better than gas station gasoline and the difference is noticeable on the job. When not using this I use 97octane gasoline with the Briggs & Straton additive and husky XP 2stroke oil which I thing is as good as the ones mentioned above.
  15. This is my YAMAHA TDM850 2000 model. It is converted to a 900 with the 850 carbs and gearbox. and a more artistic photo... And my litle climber KAWASAKI KLX 250R
  16. What about the little problems the new Auto tune Huskys had? I found out that the carbs were replaced. So both of the XP's will now use a Zama EL46 carb instead of the original EL44.
  17. 455rancher I wanted to say above.... The 450 lacks power for the job. Eddy thank you. It is from Jonshered. The 346 would be my first choice but isnt sold anymore here and the one I ve found at a dealer costs more than a new 550!!!
  18. Thank you for your replies! Today I went to a dealer nearby and spend sometime talking and weighing the saws without the bar attached and the weight difference between them is noticeable! Of course if the bar was on the difference would be less I suppose so on Monday I am planning on visiting the central importer's exhibition were they have all the models. Let me tell you that the saw wont be used on a daily basis and probably a 450Rancher could do the job but I would like to own a top of the line. Also the swedish orange stuff is my favorite brand and I would rather not go for a stihl.
  19. Greetings from Athens Greece! I am glad I found this forum and have read a lot of interesting topics. I originate from the island of Chios and Crete were we cultivate mastic (Chios) and olive trees. I already have two arborist chainsaws the Husky 334T and its big brother the 338XPT witch are absolutely perfect in their duty pruning the mastic trees in Chios and also the olive oil trees. Moreover the 338XPT is powerful enough to carry a 16” bar and cut firewood. But don’t want to use it that way so I am seriously thinking of buing a new bigger chainsaw for that job. It will be used for dropping olive trees and pine trees aprox 25” at their largest and cutting dead dry mastic trees which are very hard and solid. At first I was planning on buying a 346XP after all the excellent reviews I ve read but it is not anymore available here. Found only one for 690 euros. So the decision now is among the 550XP (650 euros)and the 560XP (720euros). I have read similar threads but still want to ask which is more suitable for my needs from some people who are using both and in my country aren’t many. I am 170cm tall and 80kgs heavy so the lighter the better I think, but also I like power.... Also being used in having light and agile saws I find the 560 a bit heavy but it has 1 BHP more and from the videos I ve seen is a realy "bad" guy. Forgive my long post.
