Thanks cj.How many times can u sharpen these chains before the rakers need filing.Made a mistake of giving each raker 2 strokes of the file as i didnt have a depth gauge .Now it judders when i cut.Thanks

That picture is from the article i was reading.The chains i have bought are RSC3 but look like the chain in the picture.could not get a clear picture of my chain. Is it normal then?The article was saying that when the chain needs a sharpen the file would sit to high because of the bit that sticks up.Did not want to use the chains until i asked about what i had read.Thanks

Has there been a problem with new RSC chains being incorrectly ground?I was reading about RSC chains and came across this picture.I have just bought 2 new chains which look like the chain in the picture.The little hump between the cutter and raker.Thanks

Hi carb flange had come lose [well hanging off] .Looks like i will have to use thread lock .Whats it like undoing bolts when u use that stuff?Had recoil cover bolts coming lose before. Does any body knowThanks the torque wrench settings for the dolmars?

Cutting some wood today and my sachs dolmar 123 started to rev up and down by itself .Just before this happened it started to run erratic .Just got this feeling that its something bad. Any body any ideas please? Thanks

i bought a stanley leverlock 8m tape and after 2 weeks it would not retract all the way back in ,after 4 weeks it went rusty.ones from pound shop lasted a lot longer.Only ever bought 1 stanley tool before that a 12 inch adjustable wrench and the jaws dented the 1st time i used it.Wont be buying stanley again.

Will the rosate 36 kill the weeds for a season? Tried something called ground clear 2 weeks ago cost 20 quid and no dead anything yet The council are trying to claim the land [ land that the Bolton council as an interest in] according to Bolton council web site. They council did use something on the knot weeds last August and nothing as started to grow back yet.Took them months after i phoned them though .Need to use what ever they used on that.Just want long term control sick of getting brush cutter out.

The weeds grow on my drive which is 150ft x20ft and want to clear it.Even tried the weed burners as tried most brands of weed killers.Got that knot weed spreading from waste ground at the sides of my fence and is now appearing on my drive along with the rest.Sick of cutting it.

After some advice on the best product to use for long term weed control .Tried various products over the years and the weeds start to grow back about two weeks after the weed killer takes effect.Hoping there is something that will clear weeds for at least 6 months or longer. Thanks

Took the oil pump off my 123 to clean etc.On refitting do the gears slot together ok?Sure ive read somewhere that u have to make sure they mesh together right.Rather ask than damage anything.Thanks

Not tried booking a collection just read the prohibited list .Looked at most of the couriers mentioned on here from old posts and all have it in there list of things they wont deliver.Need it collecting from Derby and delivered to Bolton .

When using interparcel do u tell them that its a chainsaw?Its in there list of stuff they wont deliver.I have just had 2 petrol stone saws delivered to me from ebay seller for 12 pound and he sent using interparcel .I want to book a pick up and delivery of the saw i bought and the seller was going on about fines if they find out.I think the seller is worried about this and might not agree to collection if it was in the couriers prohibited list.

Does any one no of a courier that will pick up chainsaws? Every courier i have looked at has chainsaws in there prohibited items list.

Just seen a new sachs dolmar branded sprocket nose bar and chain 65 pounds [total length 32inces ] from America and no customs duty to pay.its 3/8 o.63.Does the price sound ok?

Hi shavey is it just the oil hole that needs to be machined a tad.I bought a so called professionally modified stihl bar with chain for my 123 of ebay and both adjustment holes and oil holes where out.Only oils chain one way up. Whats the bar mount on the bars u use?Thanks

Took the plug out of the other .Already said at beginning that with plug in it will pull all the way out if u pull slow.Tried without exhaust no change.Put petrol in and it pissed out of bottom [crack in bottom of tank] so least of my probs with the saw.Thanks for the replies.

Thank u both for replying.Without the spark plug it pulls over normal so i no nothing jamming anything.I have never put fuel in the saw so not fuel issue.Its only does it when u put the spark plug in.I will take the exhaust off and try beginning to think it might be blocked.

Hi i have 2 sachs dolmar 123 saws but 1 of them wont pull over right unless u take the plug out.With plug in it pulls up half way and when u try and pull further its lifting saw off the floor even with the weight of my foot and hand on it. If u pull the cord up slowly it pulls all the way out. As any one any ideas why?Thanks
