    Bio chain oil

While were on the subject of oils what would any of you reccomend me to use in my new 461 it will be on the shelf odd times for up to a month so dont want to use oil that gums oil am I find sticking with standars chain oil
  4. The governor has put it down to a bad job keeping my buying on a budget ah well you only live once
  5. Ive done well I normally go double over budget with anything I buy ive got around 10 tonne of logs to cut up so will be put to use straight away
  6. Just a bump I went and ordered the ms461 yesterday managed to get it for 750 with the 20" bar should hopefully be here on tuesday
  7. Thats about what we use a year luckly enough im young enough at the min so will keep swinging the axe but will be interesting to see what is recommended
  8. So in Theory then every 20 full working days you will save £1000 to me at that cost its worth using standard unleaded with mix. The money you will save will by a new saw the rest of money saved will be great and keeping manufactures, business etc turning over with sales of new saws or parts. I fully understand that additives and alternative supplies like this are good and do less harm but at the end of the day every thing boils down to the cost and until it is cost effective most will keep using unleaded.
  9. If youre bed is as rotted as the one in the pictures you minds well end up getting a new one by the time were done we would have constructed vertually a new one but the cost of labour will most likely out weight a complete new one. If there are only certain secitions which have rotted then thats no problem full new sheets/pannels can be constructed to original size and gauge. I take it these are rotting so quickly due to being loaded with wet chip all the time I know the older solid steel ones were bad but no where near as bad as that in the picture. also try looking out for a alloy bed
  10. We do all sorts of fabrication work if you wish to send me pictures of what areas are needed for repair I can give you an estimate
  11. It all depends on what you want but tbh for us I wanted a stove that was a little over kill for the house we have a villager A stove all parts can still be bought for them but do make sure you get one with a stainless boiler unlike mine where I had to cut the top off and make a new one with the stove being over kill its mainly just on tick over for a 3 bed house and 7 rads and more than enough hot water on tap. Also you need to think about what you are using for fuel we mainly burn wood so a larger stove is a good idea as its easier to load the wood and doesnt need to be cut up into little lengths.
  12. I certainly think so as well, the people who have them seem to think they are brilliant. Will look into that thank you I do have my usual trousers and PPE which I believe is class 1.
  13. I said a few pages back asking is it worth putting the extra money to getting a new ms461 to which I didn't get a exact reply so I did lots of searching and decided to put the extra cash towards it. But if you do know of any where I can get on for less than £500 that would be awesome cheapest I've seen up to now is just over £750, But will nip in to my local dealer and see what they can do.
  14. So after doing a fair bit of reading I've decided to go with a new ms461 its seems the 460 and the new 461 have many followers. Thank you all for you help.
  15. Thank you yes I would prefer a saw that has parts available and pretty well known over here its not a case of not being able to fix the 051 its was a case of I was half way through cutting my current stock and the saw started playing up with a quick inspection it revealed nothing so needed further investigation leaving me stuck for the day and as im a builder I don't have much spare time these days so when I do get a day free I want to spend it cutting so as said im just after a back up saw but tbh the 051 will become the back up saw.
