I am looking for a number of different subbies, free-lance Climbers and groundies, apprentices or people looking for a taster of the industry. All levels of experience, pay negotiable. I posted a link a while ago which I got a lot of feedback from, but always on the lookout. If you want to do a bit of research on me, the website is Tree Surgery, Landscaping, Consultancy | Emsworth Tree Care, Surrey Message me if you’re interested, or preferably email me on [email protected] with some info on day rate, contact details, availability and experience.

 3. What's your point in addressing me in this convo Jess? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
 4. Fair enough, just a lot of people seem very quick to point out negatives that don't seem that relevant. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
 5. I noticed that a lot of people very quick to voice their opinions. I am sure that the tree officer knows what he is talking about. And with the 'too much money' issue, is none of the tree surgeons concern. If he wants the job doing, and can pay the bills, the work isn't detrimental to the trees AND has been given consent by authorities, then are you suggesting that people turn work away instead of 'wounding trees'? We all 'wound trees' on a daily basis.... It's our job!
 6. I agree, amazing tree. What end result are you looking to get?
 7. how much is it roughly to get it? I might need one as i have some site work coming up?
 8. I charge minimum of 75. By the time you've loaded up, done the job and tidied up, Anything less than that isn't really worth while. Average job seems to be between 120 & 150.
 9. I wasn't having a pop, I was just wondering if i was right or wrong as. We all learn a lot from hindsight, and I have never done any thing that size so I was criticising, just trying to learn something. My question was more to do with whether it was standard industry practice to run a rope through the woods around multiple trees, you only need one wrap to go wrong to ruin the whole system. 10. it was a good advert for their slogan though. I dont see wht the deal was with all the wraps round the seperate trees? Surely they would have all locked up over them selves and the timber would have been suspended? Theres no way that would have gone smoothly is there? Can someone explain?
 11.

hello mate. I saw your post. I dont have any trunks at the moment but i did have a huge Holm Oak at the begining of last year. i was trying desperately to find a mobile saw mill to come and do it for me but failed and ended up having to give it to a farmer.

Do you do the milling yourself? and if i get any more, whats the going rates etc?

 12. WhenI first started looking at theis website, i am sure there was a heading for a firewood directory, and now I cant seem to find it. I was lookin for something that tells the BTU and best types of wood etc. I obviously get asked a lot of questions about wood, and I would like to have a better idea of what i am talking about. Cheers,
 13. Love the pic! My surname is Emmerson, some of my friends call me Emsworth, and it was the name of the first house i did a private job on. I kind of found it quite fitting.. until I found out a year later that there was a place called Emsworth... then I wished I had kept it more local. Anoyingly, I live in a village called Chipstead. Fell like a right dick.

 16. I use a road works barrier with 5mm plastic sheeting screwed to it. I put my logo and contact details on it too. I got a link on my face book page if you wanted to see what I am talking about
 17. not an expert, or famillar with this model, but judging from the picture it looks like there is a small part missing beween the opening that you are talking about, and the metal tube above it, that would channel the oil from the oil tank to the guide bar.
 18. I am looking to get in cotact with a few sub contractors. Will be relatively regular if interested. will always be able to give a few weeks notice of work. please contact me on [email protected]
 19. My wiife and I really struggled to get a mortgage. I am self employed and she is part time, we have a child too which means the mortgage company knock another £12k off what you can borrow. I used and IFA to source the best mortgage etc, and took a massive tax/NI bill by declaring as much as possible. I put about £35k forward and saved up like a nut case to get 20% deposit together. It took us about 3 years to be in a position to buy becuase no one would lend, and we couldn't sell our existing property. eventually, after jumping through a stupid amount of hoops we managed to get the money together and bought a place which we moved into last week. Abby offered us the mortgage in Principle, then when we put the offer in decided they wouldn't lend so we went to Halifax. They were very helpful, and even sent us a little home welcoming hamper.... I'd rather they Knocked £20 off my bill but the thought was there.
