  1. Wore a broke watch for 4 days on holiday , just didnt feel right not to have 1 on.

bought cheapest thing possible from hotle shop lasted about 5 years,

for work now Argos cheapest casio quartz £7.49 yellow face easy reading might last a year or till battery runs out 2 weeks - 3yrs , then still cheaper to just buy new watch rather than battery.

Strap breaks better than getting you caught up in something

  2. Away to Gaydon this weekend playing in Landys at there test place,

We got through to the next round of a Conti 4x4 WIN an epic adventure with Continental! so a days playing, slap up Moroccan meal, will be told end of day if were got through to the main prize/trip

Never win this sort of thing so best odds Im every likely to get... Its 50/50.... 28 teams on Saturday. 14 will be told at the end of the day and get to go 5 days "off roading" driving in Morocco.

If we dont get there, oh well had a "track day" for the price of the drive 3hrs up North

  3. Well after looking through these last couple of pages. glad to see Im not the only 1 NOT on FB.

    The wife is though.

When my website was updated I did request to have the link at the bottom of main page to "like" on FB a bit one sided/cheeky:blushing: I know but if you didnt mind looking/liking mine as well. All networking/potential customers as quoted below. Ill try n get wife to check some sites in return

    MANY thanks:thumbup1:

It's a bit like subscribing to a page. You 'like' the page and then that pages posts like photos and videos will show up on your news feed (homepage) when you log in to Facebook. It's sort of like networking. You like a page and it will then suggest others similar and shows up who of your friends like it. There's no rewards really. Just gains popularity in the hope that a potential customer may see it and give you a call!

Re: Please can you like my Facebook page :)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Im not on facebook. Am just curious what the 'like' stuff is about? Why do you need to 'like' each other?

  4. Couple of other groups/sites Im on Ive got Flag counter linked to the sites, so you can see where in the worlds is looking you up.

I just got round setting mine up on me website 27th May.

Its nice not to go asking or chasing people/countrys to look

as then its just a case of pure interest that someone has looked you up.

Contradiction now.. Despite the above line I havent put link up as I guse you would want to see how it looks..If it sadly interests you like it dose me you can get a link from my page, scroll over the flag box bottom of page & follow guide and its FREE

After doing my other sites ages ago found best way 8 coloums (think it is) x 248 (or what ever it is countrys). Theres some Im sure will never check us out but you never know.

at the time of sending this Ive got UK France USA Canada Netherlands Malta NZ.

You never know there might be work at the end of it :001_rolleyes:

    have a good afternoon

  5. Last weekends demo at the Classic & Vintage show West Bay.

Weather was good just the wind coming from the N/NE strange summer weather at the moment.

Flat land not the best to show our style, far short of importing 2 ton of soil, making & turfing a bank then "planting the hedge" each time.

Plenty of interest still though. There's a bit of a match between I remember my Grandad or I remember Dad always used to do the hedging on his/our old farm. Then its closely followed by either "don't see it done much now" or "nice to see it still being done".

Then after hearing there great old storys, theres normally some comet about tractors & flails:001_tongue: as were all stood around looking at nice old classic & vintage tractors going by.

Then you seem to hear almost the same thing again

I remember my Grandad or I remember Dad always used to have one like that on his/our old farm.:laugh1:

Good weekend was had that's the main thing.

  6. Do u tidy the butt up, ie cut the sloping angle off/square it up rather than leave it sticking so pround.

Yes as the "V" you would have left will hold water, not a good looker, you dont to be the one to land on it if you stumble etc etc.

But still cut the heel at an angle, not flat, try to match/follow the angle the cut pleacher is at after laying. I have seen many a job just sq of the heel.

    Try to angle it

sure theres some good pic's online than trying to explain.

borrowed this 1 from www thanks amull.co.uk should be able to see it all here

  11. If Ive managed to do this correctly there should be a before and after of a Laurel hedge just done in North France and a beech here in Dorset....

A little out of season picture,

Owners of the Laurel hedge I did back in December have just sent me there "phone" picture.

Ive got just a mere 70inch span , you can just about make out both sides of the hedge, it was blocking the edge of the road sign you can just see and also see what it was going down to (about 4x3 foot), coming towards the font of the picture between the 2 oaks.

  12. not getting caught out like last yr waiting for dry days to go grass cutting so as not to make a mess and chew it up,

so set out this morning thinking it will look a mess but customers WANT/ASKING for it cutting, soaked by miday, felt bitter with wind blowing, mind you was better than forcast

had warmer days in the "winter".

If this is spring/summer look out winter.
