1. Brilliant! I'll write that on the compliments slip...
2. I take it you mean most people? Ha, true! cheers... Well there was a look of shock on her face as I said "should I just invoice you for the work" as she left for work before we applied the sealer. Even though she's not happy I'll still invoice for it, if not just for the 4 tins of product I had to buy...
3. Did this landscaping job last year. After initially recommending and supplying samples of some nice sandstone slabs she was unhappy with the colours of all of them and instead chose to go with these cheap and nasty concrete (stone raft) slabs. Ok, on completion they looked pretty good So then she gets in contact to say she's not happy with the way the colours have faded (not surprising, crappy concrete fades) so we went and applied some sealer/colour enhancer on Monday only to get a phone call today saying she's unhappy because they're shiny and plastic looking??? WOMEN!!! We also had to change ONE slab last year because it was "mostly brown", we warned her that another would look different but she insisted and guess what...she wasn't pleased that the replaced slab looked different! What do you do now...?
4. Great spot to shoot rats coming to the chicken feeder It's just a .177 air rifle but it does the job...
5. That's a really interesting idea, I'd like to try too. This might be a silly question but what stops the weight/pull of the saw tipping the guides off the ladder? Does it all run on the timber, i.e. the depth of the ladder is the same as the guides? Does that make sense? I've confused myself now...
6. Is there not a way you can claim a swarm and "put" them in a hive? Think of the honey...
7. It was around all day again yesterday, had a strange fascination to the rolly door on my landy? Buzzzz...smack! Nature eh?...
8. When I get a clean thong on I'll post the one I have on my lower back😉 But for now here's one on my leg...
9. Got this great pic of a wood wasp on my log pile yesterday. If you zoom in you can see its egg laying thingy...laying eggs?
10. I'm a recent fungi enthusiast and I haven't as yet found anything I would be 100% sure I've identified correctly, not that I would be happy to eat it anyway! Found these around my woodchip pile, I've got it down to volvariella gloiocephala? I certainly wouldn't eat this one as it has what looks to me like a volva, any thoughts? Visible spores on this one is cool. . Cheers...
11.
Sorry mate, all sold now!

12. Excuse, this is my first time posting pictures, and on a phone so in miniature! Hope this works.
13. Saw these growing underneath a mixed hornbeam/yew hedge I removed last week. It was raining pretty hard so sawdust and leaf litter got stuck to them a bit, sorry! As you can see the middle one was bigger than my hand but there was a bigger cluster that unfortunately got wiped out before I had chance to photograph them. Any ideas what they are?
14. Still got some of this wood available! Make me an offer if you like? 07734691360
15. I'll get a price for delivery today for you jonsi. Phil, I understand that you're in business as am I, if you want to make me an offer feel free. But just because its arb arisings doesn't mean I'll be giving it away. If you're using it for firewood part the processing has already been done for you, save you a few quid in chainsaw consumables?
16. How does £30 a ton sound? Plus delivery. I have use of a loader now so i could arrange for delivery of larger loads, will have to get a price and get back to you on that.
17. You'll be needing delivery to Pershore I presume?
18. Hello, New to this site so go easy if this isnt the right place or way to go about this. I have ran out of storage space at my own yard so I am looking to get logs moved on direct from site clearance job over the next couple of weeks. Possible 60 tons in all, mixed species, hardwood/softwood, all shapes and sizes 150mm diameter and up. I can arrange for delivery via grab wagon roughly 16 tons, located at NEC birmingham. Anybody interested?
