I have a 150t and I absolutely love it. It still surprises me with its ability. Used it to take down a silver birch last week stem was 12 inch or so and the saw coped very well. Only used it as the chocolate bar on the husky is pooped and waiting new 1. Great for pruning jobs and reductions Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. I have to send my bar back to jonsie for them to look at and then they will send me a replacement under warranty but now the saw is out of use. Mountain man you may have a point may just order one today and have a spare bar wen my replacement arrives Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app

  6. Mornin fellas. I noticed this thread yesterday and I am in the same boat as you are dan494. My t540xp chucked 2 chains on Saturday and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Until I read your post and saw the picture then this morning I looked at my bar. It has exactly the same problem it is splitting apart!! Have rang FR jones and son and told them and I have to send them pictures of the bar Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app

  8. Morning all I tipped the bed on my 07 reg double cab transit tipper this morning and while pressing the button the bed went up 3 n 1/2 rams but would not go up any more just kept making a squealing sort of noise. Any one shed abit of light on this?? I'm new to the tipper scene Thanks Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. I think it's the chain to be honest because it wasn't cutting straight and compared the chain that was on it to the new chain I bought and there is a massive difference so going to chuck the crap one out Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. Evening lads. Just set the auto tune on the t540xp, went through a load of ash and old cherry. Really impressed with the throttle response and the power!! The only thing I'm a bit worried about is the amount of blue smoke coming from the bar and chain it was pouring out!! And I think the chain is crap aswel so going to swap that for the oregon one I bought. Could the smoke be oil residue burning off?? The saw is oiling I did check a number of times. Cheers lads Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app

  14. Morning all, over the weekend I treated myself to the t540 and was wondering if you need to set the auto tune like the book says?? I have a 550 and I just started it up first time I used it and cracked on with it, it's been bullet proof. Does it really need to be set first use? Thanks Sent from my SM-N9005 using Arbtalk mobile app

Looking at the t540xp, have already got a 550xp and absolutely love it. I have a crew cab with wood sides on the bed at the moment and it's completely rotted out and fallen apart, so now wanting to get it done in ally.
