  1. the fella at vanguard helped me out and did me a deal as his van was empty on the way to a job in london. forgotten how unused to lifting i am these days.
  2. thanks for that, i'll give him a call to see if he can help.
  3. can anyone help me get this beech from west wales to slough? location SA44 5DW 16 lengths at 9-10' long 8 Lengths at 7-8' long
  4. some of the most recent sets i've done. these will be some of the last pins for a while as i've no dry timber left. i like this one, first a perfectly normal set of 10"x 5" with 4 1/2" Genuine Lignum balls. then the tiny set which are for toddlers, 6"x 3" with 3 " Genuine Lignum balls. they have gone to the national trust property "Trerice" in Newquay i think. the customer wanted a case with this set.
  5. the next two i had to use some of my genuine lignum that i've bought over the years. this log was about 1m by 10-11" diameter and weighed 75kg. the block i cut off weighed 22.5kg and the finished 10 3/16" ball weighed 11.4kg.
  6. the next job was to recreate this big sucker, a 10" skittle ball. i managed to turn a 7 7/8" from a bit of Argentine Lignum i had bought on ebay. the ball weighed 5.25kg
  7. this is a blast from the past. in 2018 i was asked to make the original set and they finally wore out after being left outside and used and abused for nearly 4 years. they are 23" tall.
  8. one of the smallest sets i've done at 3" diameter.
  9. these ones replaced an old set in Wales.
  10. this is meant to be a very large version of table skittles. that ball is about 7" across.
  11. i did a fair few sets of balls over the last couple of years
  12. just some of the skittles and balls i've done during lockdown. i didn't get much work during lockdown as all my customers disappeared overnight.
