  1. Ahh ok, thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated
  2. Yeah Rover thats right, so tuning without the cover then putting it back on, it wouldn't be as tuned as it was with the cover off.
  3. Yeah just noticed the first one is like mine, also notice the first link is the one with no L&H screws, on closer look at the second one it looks like it will fit but the L&H screws would not be easy to get at so holes would need to be drilled in the handle of the chainsaw, there is already a hole on the same part of the handle for the tick over screw which is in a different place on the second carb, so 3 more holes would need to be drilled into the handle, thus having 4 holes around the same area, in my opinion would make the handle very weak and it my break under use, just a thought..
  4. I looked at that one but it looks nothing like the stihl carb that came off my saw, also looks like the fuel inlet is in a different place to mine and also the angle of the fuel connecting rods is different..
  5. Yep the saw just needed a new carb, I couldn't find one of those carbs people talked about, the ones with high and low screws, would like to even see one if anyone has a link?
  6. More Idiots HUSQAVARNA CHAIN SAW BODY,,NO BAR OR CHAIN,,MODEL 395XP,,PULLS OVER OK | eBay
  7. Go for a Stein helmet Amy, that one will fit I can assure you:) QUOTE=_AmyBaxter;929670]Having trouble with my helmet fitting I've tried loads just not fit right just going up with the silky I have to wear my ear defenders to keep my helmet on its annoying! I've got the petzl vent one. Is there any other helmets that are smaller out there?
  8. I had the 2 yes they only have 2.. wheel trims nicked off my works Transit van, must be only about £5 in a crap yard, with the van parked under a night vision camera, the Gypo's have no limits to what they rob..
  9. duh silly me, too busy looking at pics
  10. Nice work:) what oil did you use?
  11. To start small i'd use the MS180, although hard to find new now, the ms 181 is the replacement but I didn't like it, depending on your size of carvings to me the smaller the carving the better you become, loads of room for mistakes on big carvings. You will need a blocking out saw to, For the smaller carvings I use the MS250, so its 2 saws you should look at getting.
  12. Another Idiot!! Stihl 20" Chainsaw | eBay
  13. Sorry if this has been posted before but... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf-unuPGifM
  14. The other thing that worries me is they don't have any Inertia chain brakes on em, if they have kickback the chain stays moving on full throttle, I'm sure this is shown on youtube somewhere.
  15. Nope fuel is getting through ok, fuel line is stiff and strong with no nicks in it, I need my 180 its my main use saw for small blocking out carving stuff
  16. Me to:biggrin: if we keep posting them here and a few of us keep reporting them may be ebay will finally listen, remove them and ban the sellers
  17. Thanks Bandit, i'll double check fuel line but as I say its only had bout 3 months use in the saws whole life, I'd be shocked at a faulty fuel line, but hey worth a try
  18. I contacted Stihl uk and sent them links from ebay of fake Stihl saws, to be fair they did get removed..
  19. Had a compression test all's fine there, newish saw with only about 30 hours use, runs like a bag of spuds, changed spark plus 3 different ones:thumbdown: cant find any air leaks, fuel is getting through no prob, spark is strong, adjusted tick over screw a million times, before anyone says, yes correct fuel mixture in it at all times. I'm thinking new carb needed, if anyone has had issues like this did you sort it? and anyone know a place in northwest I can get a carb cheap, and/or buy a secondhand MS180 or MS170 chainsaw? Cheers for any replies
  20. I keep reporting these sellers direct to ebay but they do nothing about it and allow these fake/copy chainsaws to be sold on their site.. husquarna partner chainsaw | eBay
