  1. What are the measurement you used in the spice drew??
  2. Armor prus requires a core dependent splice so class 2 is what is recommended, however it can also be done with a class 1 splice or a exposed eye locking Brummel splice as these can be done a hell of a lot shorter than a class 2
  3. Is it a 'Locking Brummel' splice or is it just a single braid eye splice according to the Yale website??
  4. sorry i mean a 8mm, i understand and can do a locking brummel splice, but i can seem to figure out how to do it with a cover on it??
  5. i am begging someone, can they tell me how to do a locking brummel splice on bee-line please
  6. what do you reckon, i am looking at upgrading from a piece of wire for all my splicing. I was looking at getting some fids, but wanted to know if this would do double braid as well as hollow??
  7. Have you considered having an extendable bridge on your harness and leaving the lockjack the same?? But all depends what sort of harness you have and weather or not it will incorporate it
  8. Yea man thanks that makes sense, and helps alot
  9. Im still a bit confused, is normal armor prus class 1. I know the poly is class 1
  10. yea man I understand, I will definitely take in to consideration what you are saying
  11. yea drew I would still like them, and a bit of a description( maybe a video...I find watching some one helps more than instructions), I was looking at them for a rope guide or strops. And I will take in what you are saying about the brummel splice eyes, as I was not aware of that.... And well I posted about the spiderjack and look how fast that went to an SRT debate haha
  12. OK so I have been looking into these for a while, surfing the net looking for a video or instructions on how one would be done on such rope as bee line or armour prus. yes I have seen many of how to splice which line but I get the feeling its not the same.....a video describing how it is done including measurements would be amazing It cant be that hard to pick up the camera for 20 minutes and make a vid...
  13. OK so I have been using my spiderjack for a while on a HMS petzl William, like the instructions say, but I am finding the fact that I have to pass the gate through the ring on my bridge kinda annoying, I have been used to climbing on a hitch climber with the gate at the bottom. So what I am saying is, has anyone found a way to run the spiderjack on a ultra O, and yes I have seen the thread on the problem with doing that, but I am looking for ideas...........

    Rig

I have been using the rig to descend palm trunks, SRT rads system, or even a base tie a limited bit of kit but once you have one you will always find uses for it
  17. Na I started on the SRT but lately have just been using it for access and working DRT, just cant get away from it, dont like the idea of not being able to body trust.....just the way i am i guess
  18. Yea thanks man, might just have to cut of a splice off...
  19. can it be pulled apart and put back on the line???
  20. Have a small question, can a splice be put through the spiderjack, I have a lifeline with two splices and looking a buying a spiderjack just wanted to know???
  21. Hey man I use Escalator static line, and it is amazing, I haven't done a lot of climbing on it yet but it is still very nice, It goes like wire under load then when you work it a little bit it softens up and becomes workable. Very easy to rope walker and footlock, the add is true it takes less energy to get to the top hop it helps
  22. I've got a pair of Buckingham steels but I tried, the pantin over the spike and I don't think it worked, but ill give it another crack, with the epoxy do you just take the straps of the ascender and glue it on to the spike shank???
  23. Hi People I have a small problem, I love my SRT, frog walker, rope wrench, but the only problem is I cant wear my pantin and my spikes at the same time, and it annoys me to try to take my spike up with me and try to change over, and even when I do this and get my spikes on if I want to ascend I cant because I have my spikes on!! Any thoughts lads
  24. what size ring are you using drew??
