  1. Also; I saw a post on a thread in another forum mentioning that someone was looking for parts for an MB trac 1000.

It's on the website Untitled Document - the user's nickname is 'turbo kid' and their profile page is here if you want to get in touch with them:

  2. Hi mdt,

I see you mentioned you have some parts lying around for an MB trac 1000 - I don't suppose you'd have any for the larger MB tracs, e.g. the 1300/1500, etc?

We got a 1300 model a few months ago but haven't found anyone yet that has any second-hand parts for them.

  3. Thanks for getting back to me and for the tips.

Had a quick look on ebay.de and found a good few used parts and they seem to be listed by only a few users so I'll probably get in touch with them through ebay and ask them if they have the part we're looking for (a 540rpm PTO shaft end is the main thing we're after at the moment).

We have a 1985 1300. It's in pretty good order compared to a lot of the ones we've seen in the last few years and we were told that a previous owner replaced the original engine with a Mercedes 1617 lorry engine - if that's true, it should now have around 170hp instead of 125hp! The engine does seem to rev higher than other MBs which also leaves it with a higher top speed. Haven't clocked it yet against the car yet but it could be doing close to 50mph. Bloody frightening thing to drive on country roads....

  4. Thanks Andy,

Highland Forestry got back to me as well and also mentioned Jas P Wilson and a few Unimog dealers!

  5. Hi there Tree Medic,

I just read some of your posts mentioning that you operate a couple of MB tracs - we just got our hands on one a few months ago and we've been trying to locate 2nd hand parts for it ever since but to no avail :(

Do you know anyone who scraps/breaks MB tracs or may have some broken at the moment?

    Cheers,

  7. Hi Brushcutter,

I gather from one of your posts that you were considering buying an MB trac - did you ever get around to it?

We got one a few months ago but we haven't been able to locate anyone who has second hand parts for them. Do you know of any broken/scrapped MB tracs?

    Cheers,

  8. Hi there Float,

I see from one of your posts that you're operating a 1300 MB trac - did you ever get the info you needed on the oil flow spec, etc? If you didn't, let me know, as I might have data like that in some of the manuals/data sheets I have for MBs.

We recently got a year 1985 1300 model but we can't seem to find any 2nd hand parts for them anywhere. Do you know of any scrapped/broken MBs anywhere?

    Cheers,
