  1. I am also heading down, hopefully there will be some decent cheap stuff!
  2. Is it like Daisy chaining the rope? or some obscure method that no one has heard of? Thanks for your thoughts! Treespasser
  3. Ahh I'm using just a regular prussik, I will give it a go. Thanks Treespasser
  4. I will definitely give it a go. I can't stand these twists any longer! Thanks for yout input WeeDee! Treespasser
  5. Wow! Thank you for sharing this! I will try it out! Treespasser
  6. Would that not make it harder to decend? as the tail is now directed above you and pulling the underside of the friction hitch upwards? Treespasser
  7. Thanks a lot, I will have to try this method aswell! Treespasser
  8. I usually use the standard prussik, and more often the swabish prussik. Would you mind explaining this method? Thank you very much, Treespasser
  9. I always coil the rope into a Gasket Hitch. As you mentioned loose bags in your previous comment, I gather it is best to feed the rope into a bag? Treespasser
  10. haha thanks VEG! I will try it. Treespasser
  11. I have tried this method also. It did seem to make a difference, but the next time I climbed it was twisted again. Thank you for the suggestion. Treespasser
  12. I have tried this method, however the tree was not tall enough. It did help the rope untwist somewhat though. Thanks RobArb, Treespasser
  13. Thank you very much WeeDee! I will give it a go, as soon as it drys up a bit. Thanks again, Treespasser
  14. Hello there, I have recently purchased and received the 'Yale XTC-Plus' rope from Honey Brothers. It was sent to me with large amounts of twists in the rope. As I have little experience in climbing so far, I was wondering if anyone knows any easy and efficient methods of un-twisting rope, as it is a pain to climb with. Thanks, Treespasser
  15. May I reiterate the second part of the question? How does the 'Double Snapper' work, and what is the importance of it? Thanks
  16. I would highly recommend the Yale XTC ropes, as they are cheap and durable. They are also nice to grip when climbing and don't hurt the hands much.
