    depends how windy it is but yea, so it's a balance thing yea. and yea i have someone to teach me, i'm at college, but there is 27 people climbing at once(in the college arboretum) so some of us end up under the radar, and tend not to get noticed, but i reckon with a bit more practice it'll come easier once again cheers for the tips guys

    yea i've taken a few slips, it really doesn't make you wanna like spiking... but whilst i'm still in college i get to try a range of different spikes.

    i've only spiked about 5 times, but it's just an odd concept to get used to, but i'm sure it will get easier as time goes on, well thats the theory anyway...

    Does anyone else just really dislike the concept of spiking? i can't seem to get on with it at all, just feels really odd, guess it just comes with practice... Liam.
  10. any tips for limb walking, i'm finding it hard to gain the confidence whilst out on the limb, is there any techniques to work on this or is it just another one of those mental things to work on..

    does anyone know anywhere to get some small kit karabiners just for the odd little bit of equipment to go on a harness, i've seen the stein ones, just can't find any more cheers
  12. cool i'm still in college so my kits just so i can get more experience at work, so i just want the basic stuff to start with, so i doubt i'll be splicing anything just yet aha.
  13. sounds good man, just a choice of colours now, red, spearmint, fire or honeybee? same rope i'm assuming?

  19. i was thinking about using a hitchclimber set up but going to wait a while yet, how do you think a hitch climber set up would work with a 13mm rope?

  21. I think the set up will be yale xtc plus(13mm) or spearmint. (45m) Petzl sequoia 1 x DMM Ultra O Locksafe krab. 1 x ISC HMS Triact krab. Honey brothers Adjustable strop kit (4m, pulley) stein cambium saver 1m 2 x yale silver streak hot 10mm prusiks cord (2m) i think thats everything i need for the basic set up at the moment. please let me know what you think if you want Cheers Liam.
