  1. You know jack shit about dogs . Blowing a whistle at a dog on a lead , Brilliant .
  2. Thats not ewhat happened though is it you twat
  3. So its ok for a dog to be out of control as long as its small . Glad we sorted that .
  4. My point is that is essentially what my sister in laws dog did, defend itself ,
  5. Ok you are walking along and a dog jumps up and latches on to you seed sack . You gonna do nothing ?
  6. Why do you presume my sis in law is " getting on in years " ?
  7. The other dog is of great consequence . If it was not there it would not have happened .
  8. She had it on the fucking lead ! Minding its own business . The small dog was out of control and attacked my sisters dog . I think the police have hatched a complete cluster fuck . They took my sisters dog and kept it for a month . Then said to her if you pay the vet bill you can have your dog back . If they took it coz they deemed it dangerous her paying the vet bill doesn't suddenly make it not dangerous . No what they did was unethical and tantamount to blackmail . Its just wrong .
  9. This is my take on it also . Not much can be done now . Thanks lads .
  10. I think the coppers just wanted it to go away . Struck a deal with handbag dog woman saying if sis pays the vet bill will you drop it ? Went to sis and said if you pay the vet bill you can have your dog back . Of course sis wanted her dog back so went for it . Its all wrong I think .
  11. I buy Arpen 4 or Husqvarnas version and mix it a 50:1 with Red Line Racing 2T oil . Not seen an oil spec that exceeds that .
  12. Ok . You don't think she has been seen off here then ?
  13. The vet worked on the small dog for a day or so to no avail . She paid the vets bill , to the vet as I understand it .
  14. They turned up at her house some time after the incident . 8 cars / vans and arrested her there and took the dog from there . She asked if they were going to cuff her ? They conceded it would not be necessary . She is an accountant and was just off to work . All the neighbors were rubber necking . She had only moved in a week prior ! Just what you need !
  15. Yea . I suppose . Its not a requirement in law to muzzle a grey hound though .
  16. Not having much luck lately what with my mate being arrested ( dog / gun related incident ) and my sister in law as well ....
  17. Understood Mick . In this case the big dog was loose ( under the fence ) In my sisters case the big dog was on a lead and the small dog loose and out of control .
  18. Apparently they would not tell my sister in law were the dog was kept . This added to her anguish I think . She lives in Surbiton Surrey . I am down here in West Sussex so could not help realistically .
  19. Just googled it and its not law . Only a recommendation until you know your dogs temperament it says .
  20. I have seen some muzzled but not all by any means but don't know if its a requirement
