I use one constantly and it's one of the best lowing devices we have used in our opinion. Definitely buy one u won't regret it.

I completely agree with you about the gear doesn't make the climber. But its like im stuck in a rut with the VT and love trying new things. If its gone make it easier by 5% then that's a step up in my eyes. Are job is hard enough at times as it is so anything that's gonna make it slightly easier which reading all the comments about the SJ will then I'm all for it.

Well I was gonna go with the motion but my bill was already at £700 so I couldn't really afford anything else apart from that. Tried petzle but don't like them and been climbing with the butterfly but squashes my nuts all the time.

Thanks for all your opinions and advice. Just got off the phone to honey bros and I ordered a SJ with the tachyon rope. Also thought it was time for a new harness and got the new skylotec. Won't be here till next week :-( will be like x-mas day when it comes can't wait to try it out.

Hey, I'm going to finially change to one or the other after using VT for years. What is the advantages and disadvantages of both? It's a lot of money to shell out with know much about them so your opinions would be a massive help. Thnks mike

I have my 41 but I never did it straight after my other tickets I got some exsperience first. I found it fairly easy but I had a really good instructer. 3 other lads on course failed. Each one all failed on there work positioning. My opinion would be get some exsperience in you first then take it. It's not a cheap course. Well done on passing other tickets.

Yes I have done that a few times. Ha I would just like to learn it, looks far quicker and easier. I think I may even look into srt eventually. Need to master one at a time I think

hello, been climbing for some years now and if im honest i hase been stuck in my ways and havent had time to try new things. its comming up to nesting season ( well already is ) and will have some time. i havent really tried footlocking much. i climb using VT and get on well with it but i hate having to thrust my way back up the tree after a nice lunch.....i was woundering if anyone can guild me through ( prefferably pictures ) on a set up i can use for foot locking be it single line or double? i have a gri gri 2 kicking about, micro pullies ect. if anyone could help with pics ect i would be very appiceiated of it. thanks, mike

the company is fine we have had some of our biggest contracts to date off them. the hedge is established maybe up to 15 yr +

cheeky bugger ha there was no stubs i asure you that everything was back to a growth points!!

haha that was exactly my thought when they was telling me, but the other part of the contract is alot more lush

hello, i need some advice. i have to quote on a massive contract and worth alot of money but there is one thing im not to sure about. the customer wants all hedge row ( which consists of hawthorne and saplings e.g ash, oak ) keeping BUT wants us to dig it all up using tree spades ect and replant it in another location. then after the work is completed on the site that we have took them from, we then have to dig them back up and put them in the orginal place. sounds mad but this is what they want. the time scale from moving them from original place - temporary - back to original place would be about a year. can any one advise me about this as its a strange one and would be greatful for any help. my thoughts are that the hedge row roots are all interlinked so would have to do it in sections which would mean cutting some main roots but would shock them even more. i personally think its more hassel than its worth and there is a hugh chance it all not surviving. i have said this to them and told them that it would be cheaper and far easier to just replant but thats not a option to them. :-s any advive people would be brilliant on if would survive or way to go around it ?

hi, been a climber for 8 years and always climbed in high-flex and just recently the new oregons. the company i work for now have said we have to wear hi-vis but i have tried the stretch air and they are far to warm and because i have short legs they dont do them in my size would have to take them up. is there any hi vis trouses out there that you can climb in as i cant seem to find any?
