  1. Seems to be most wanna stay small? I agree staying small means less hassle, stress etc.. And you get to stay on the tools actually doing the job but at the same time ambition, dreams and possibilities surely is what being in business is all about? I suppose it depends on what you want out of life and I don't just mean finacially but also being content and happy.
  2. Had the same with mine it was the switch
  3. I was wondering what everyone's ambition in business is? Has it changed since you first started and if so why? Are you happy staying as a small set up to stay involved on the tools and up the trees or do you want to have a large company where anything may be possible. Just interested to hear all your views.....
  4. Sorry to hear about your situation hope things improve for you. I would take it as an opportunity to work on your business rather than in it. As long as you have someone to trust on site to run things then use other subbies or employ staff depending on your work load even offer a short term managerial role so you can concertrate on getting better. I appreciate there are financial implications of doing this and only you know if it's possible but even if it keeps things tickin over till you are fit and well then surely that's a good thing and you never know it may end up putting you in a better position for the future? All the best.....
  5. Yea very true and there seems to be more around just make sure it has been plated to 3500kg incase you get pulled.
  6. I looked for so long to find a decent one that I ended up buying a dropside and will be getting it converted to over the next few weeks with an ally chip box. At least there's less chance of it being worked hard in the past having not been a tipper. Would go for a 130 as can carry more.
  7. Pm sent. It was in classifieds a couple of weeks ago ( silver thunder)
  8. I'm selling my 06 double cab ranger I'm only down the road in Colchester?
  9. Landy's are ace! I've just bought a 130 td5 and she's a great work horse carries a load well and tows good not as comfortable as my ranger but can do so more. Like others have said make sure you look around as bad/cheap ones can be a money pit but get a gd one that's been well looked after and you will get years of return from it and the other gd thing is that they loose very little value.
  10. You still get the wave just a different type!!
  11. I have been in this game for 12 years and think it's great how things have changed. Very few would talk to each other, share information, most wouldn't even wave when passing on the road! Nowadays fellow arbs seem more willing to basically be friendly and even help each other out and this site shows how much things have changed, I think it can only be a good thing for the industry and move it in a positive direction.
  12. But my 06 ford ranger ( in classifieds) excellent truck!
  13. Nice landy! Assuming that's 3050kg as you are getting a 130? If I do go for a 110 I'd like one which has been upgraded to 3500kg ideally. What price will it be?
  14. Pm sent ( I think? New to forum )
  15. I'm after a 130 or 110 tipper if anyone has one for sale please let me know. Cheers
