  1. Client has requested that we carry out a sweep of intended works area prior to works commencing to reduce risk of tree & ground nesting birds. This needs to be recorded and used as a working document to be shown in evidence. I'm sure Ive seen something on here before, a download/template? Would appreciate your help, save me reinventing the wheel...........
  2. Been using my Stihl HL95 long reach hedge trimmer for clearing tall bramble/small saplings around bridges and tight in to walls, yeah, I know, its not designed for that, but I find it quicker than a brush cutter, the power unit is up to the job but the trimmer cutting head could be better. I'm wondering if there is a way of fitting a single sided cutter blade (wider gap between teeth) to these machines? Cheers
  3. Need a stonemason/brick layer in the Penrith area within the next two weeks, anyone help?
  4. No, I hadn't, but I will, thank you.
  5. Got two weeks work for someone in the Penrith area, starting first week of December, all ground work, Call/text Gareth on 07795363175
  6. Require two groundsman for two weeks beginning of December working in Penrith area. Mainly tree felling and scrub clearance. Call/text Gareth 07795363175
  7. Not using cord, have had mulcher blade on it from the start.
  8. Hi all, Got the above, only a few months old, been working fine but today started cutting out, no problem restarting, runs for a few minutes then cuts out again. I can take it back to the supplier but I'm working away at the moment so would appreciate any advice please. Have cleaned air filter, spark plug is normal colour, plenty of fuel, restarts fine and ticks over at normal revs, feels like its over heating, I don't operate it at full revs all the time, anyone have any ideas?
  9. Hi, Need a tracked chipper for a load of brash (nothing bigger than 4inch dia) in the Ramsbottom area for two days this week, anyone help? Cheers Dawsie
  10. Thanks Eddie, 560 it is then, will get one this morning (once I've finished my Vat return), just hope its going to be as long serving as the 365, we will see. Thanks once again for everyone's input. Diolch! (thank you in Welsh)

    Chainsaw oil

Just out of interest, what chainsaw oil are you using and how much are you paying for it? Dawsie
  12. Thanks for the reassurance Stubby.
  13. Thanks Mark, yeah, 3/8 sprocket swap wont be a problem.
  14. Thanks for that Mozza, George Carr (Bristol) is doing the 560XP with 18'' for £603 delivered, seems a good price...............................as long as it doesn't let me down!!!!
  15. Thanks for that Grey Git, but come on the rest of you 560XP users out there, I've read what has been said in the past, but what is the current opinion, anything changed?
  16. Hello! Well, my 365 has finally died, had it since 1999 and its been my main saw, fitted with a 18'' bar, there wasn't much it couldn't do, albeit a touch on the heavy side. Problem now is what to replace it with? Tried the 372XP X-Torq for a few days, ok, but thinking its time I got something a bit lighter (getting older), so I tried the 550XP, ok, but noticed the lack of power, so I thought the 560XP would be the ideal compromise, until I started reading all the 'very worrying' posts on here...............I suppose I must have been lucky (or maybe I just look after them), but I'm not used to saw's letting me down. So, I'm in a dilemma, need to sort something out tomorrow. Would prefer to stay with Husqvarna only because that's what I'm used to (plus I've got a load of 18'' 3/8 chains with loads of life in them). Any advice much appreciated. Dawsie
