1. In case someone finds this old thread here is a UK supplier in Dorset Treekit - Maasdam Rope Puller and one in Germany. Freeworker - Maasdam Rope Puller - climb up high! I bought one 2yrs ago direct from USA and paid shipping as then I could not find a UK supply at anything like the same price. Really love the rope puller - rope is easy on hands compared to wire and you get a continuous pull for the whole length of the rope (minus maybe 1 ft) and worked well to pull upright a wind blown whitebeam in a garden in a single pull.
 2.
hi mate only just come on arbtalk for a few months off here just seen your question about the ace winch. its one of my best buys its solid hasnt broke its never failed to pull over a tree or rip out a stump its very good at for the price its a must buy!

 3.
Hi, You posted about an Ace wire rope winch back in 2010. Are you still happy with it? Thinking of getting one myself. Securefixdirect selling them on fleabay and say they keep a supply of parts which sounds good. Cheers ~ Andy

 4. Hi, Here is my idea to make a friction or cambium saver out of a nylon climbing sling and Two figure 8 descenders (hence I called it a T8). Tie them on in opposing fashion to leave both a large and a small ring free for the descender. This is the T8 around a demo branch This is the T8 ready to retrieve Cheers, Andy.
 5. Reading this thread I see there is an old HoneyBros harness on ebay at the moment with just over an hour to go. Item: 200719967135
