  1. Bloody good point, knew i forgot something important! EU 45 think its uk 10.5 or 11
  2. Bought these last year because i read some good comments about them but they are very painful on my feet so after a couple months i went back to the Meindl boots and these have sat in the garage since. There is still a good bit of life left in them and thought someone on here maybe starting out might want a free pair of boots that cost me £195. If you do fancy them pm your address. If not I'll take them to the charity shop. Cheers
  3. Hi, I've got a 2008 Timberwolf 125 and over last few years the rust underneath and around the hopper has got increasingly worse. I was thinking about either getting the whole thing resprayed or just the rusty bits made good depending on cost. I'm not too bothered if it's a rough job as long as the rust is dealt with. So my questions are has any one had it done and what sort of cost? If you have who did it? Also does any one know anyone in the herts beds bucks cambs sort of area who would do it? Cheers Duncan
  4. Hi, Wondering if anyone could help me I've got to fell a dead sycamore down in Dartford next week need somewhere near by to tip chip or logs or both. Anyone know a green waste tip around there or has a yard and i can pay them to tip? Thanks Duncan
  5. Also see your south cambs i'll even drop it off cos i'm not too far!
  6. Bloody annoying when you buy something and its not quite right! So i haven't used the harness since gone back to my tree austria till i have time to go to honey bros and try some on. Don't really want a tree hog to be honest but if you still want the harness make me an offer and you can have it! Only used 3 times its brand new still.
  7. Don't think it can be a size too big as i bought the smallest size and i'm not that small! Starting to think it's just not the right fit/harness for me which is annoying as i've used it too much to send back. never mind lesson learnt.
  8. Just bought myself a new harness and went with the stein vega plus but it seems like the bridge is mounted too high soo its pulling the back pad up high to my ribs and the legs loops sit too far into my crotch and catch my nuts a bit. Was wondering whether anyone else had this problem or any ideas to fix but doesn't seem to be any adjustments that can be done? or have i bought the wrong size? or more likely the wrong harness! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  9. Self employed groundsmen needed for 2-3 days a week or as many days as you can do. Tickets preferred but not essential. Work in the Welwyn area and surrounding. Cheers Duncan 07759804035
  10. Customer rang yesterday about the large dead limbs on oak and found these brackets at the base when I turned up. quite a bit of white rot dust coming out the stem as well. Any ideas what it is?
  11. Yeah I did hear that but yes cleaned them all out including fuel cans. other saws seem to work alright just the 200ts.
  12. So thought I would try and be friendly to the polar bears and start using bio oil chain oil about 3 months ago after only ever using the normal Oregon oil. I run a few 200t and use 1 every day and try and switch so they all get run over the week but this oil has blocked them up so many times I have used only about 10 litres out of a 25 litre barrel and have had to buy a new barrel of the old stuff its got that annoying. it looks like old engine oil or treacle with the consistency of water? or have I got a dodgy batch?
  13. Usually at yard by 7.30 on site at 8 like to be finished most days between 2 and 3 in pub by 3.30. what's the point in working otherwise!
  14. Thanks for your help the filter is the correct way round but a guy on here private messaged me that he had the same problem and it was the fuel line so i have replaced that and on closer inspection where the line was cable tied to the hydraulic hoses quite tight it had started to perish and fuel was leaking through guessing that was the problem. its working like new now! thanks again
  15. thanks for all the replies. the ebay history I can't go back that far and yes I paid cash I did keep the guys number but believe it or not all of two weeks ago I threw my phone on a bonfire and lost all my numbers! so I was going to ring him and get a receipt. think I may take treequip idea sell it to a mate and buy it back sort of thing. thanks again
  16. I have had my chipper for about a year and have been keeping it at home but now I have got a container on a farm so need to get insurance for it and my other tools. problem is I bought it off ebay, checked it hadn't been nicked and I foolishly didn't get a receipt for it. so if it were to get stolen the insurance company said I need to prove I actually own it. do I contact timberwolf for a proof of ownership certificate if they even do that? any thoughts much appreciated.
  17. it is a genuine honda filter what do you mean by this may be the problem in what way? would it be a problem in how i have fitted it or something? thanks for your help.
  18. sorry it was fine before service so when i changed fuel filter the problem started.
  19. hi i have a 2008 machine bought it last year and got it serviced straight away to make sure all was well but it kept cutting out lack of fuel getting through thinking because an air block. so i blew some fuel through and this cured it after a while so i have serviced it again this year and same problem yet doesn't seem to be going away i think it works better with a full tank and will go all day once warm but once a third has gone and you start it cold in the morning it cuts out when you start chipping and the engine has to do some work. was told it was the fuel cap breather causing a vacuum but bought a new one still same problem! please help!
  20. cheers for the input. had a test drive yesterday found the gears pretty stiff guessing they will loosen like you say. not as nicer drive as the new transits which are pretty much like a car and its going to be my only vehicle so will be in it every day don't want to regret buying it if its hard work driving. might just go mental get a mortgage on a landy 130 tipper!
  21. hi all i am thinking of getting a new movano was wondering how you were getting on with yours? seeing as a brand new one is £5500 plus the vat cheaper than a transit feel silly not too!
  22. not many people charging the same as me on here! sounds like there's some cheap climbers! stick to your guns you know your own worth. there are tight wads everywhere who expect everything for nothing! if you've got a couple of regulars look after them and it soon picks up.
  23. i had 3 pairs of hiflex got sick of fixing them have had the same pair of stretch air gladiators for the last 18 months and there still fine one patch on the bum. way better value for money never had an issue with movement. will buy another pair when these finally die. never going back to hiflex! they are the type A though. which are cool inthe summer and i find plenty warm enough inthe winter. have had no problems whatsoever.
