  1. Nice one! I hope i can make it. I stay in Edinburgh so thats close enough for me
  2. I guess i should have included my email in there as well oops... [email protected]
  3. I am based in Edinburgh and can ground for you, I am a freelance tree surgeon but i will do ground work as well no problems. I will email you my general letter i send out to companies.
  4. I have been working in Rome, Italy for the last 5 years and have recently returned to Scotland. If there is anyone out there looking to hire my services i am available. I am freelancing at the moment and have 20 years experience in the job although i have held my tickets since 2000. I am based in Edinburgh but i am willing to travel if need be. You wont regret it
  5. I would say brace it to be safe, maybe take a little out of the sail as well but if you are so worried, brace it. Other than that fell it and plant a cherry
  6. works fine for me too, why go to all the trouble of cleaning every bit of oil and greasy stuff off it when its going to be back to that again after a days work? A good blast with an air hose to get the worst off is all it needs and maybe a bit of a scrape to get some tough bits off
  7. Hi all, Just joined in today and am a bit confused with it all but seems like a great bunch of loonies here Freelancing in Edinburgh if anyone needs an experienced climber just give me a shout...
  8. I am freelance as well and charge 100 to 120 per day including saws and equipment. To be honest for my 20 years experience i am shooting myself in the foot but at least the phone calls are coming in. All in all our profession IS underpaid for the risks we take and the health and safety **** we have to go through, we should be getting 200 to 300 a day at least!

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
