  1. They are 16.9 24. This is smaller than anything listed as appropriate in the manual and I have no idea if the ratio between front and back is OK for 4WD?
  2. Good spot Gareth! Really appreciate your efforts. The hub holes are the wrong sizes but that's not necessarily a deal breaker. I'll ask them how much they cost. I imagine it will be rather eye watering. Will keep you posted.
  3. It's actually the rear rim. The tractor is from an RAF base and they spec them with small industrial back wheels. I'm looking to put a 10'' wider rim on the back with ratio matched replacement front wheels. I downloaded the manual (as you suggested) and there are a few options with the wheel sizes. As htb pointed out it's important to get the ratios right for 4WD. The search continues!!!
  4. That would definitely be a good option if I can't find any used ones. Thanks for the suggestion.
  5. That's a good point, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks Paul
  6. Thanks Jase, I'll give them a tinkle.
  7. Yes, a manual for my Valmet is another item I am struggling to source!
  8. Thanks Matty, This tractor doesn't really lend itself to window mounted valves. No rotating seat and a bit of a back breaker to lean over. Also quite enjoy the fresh air!
  9. Thanks for the suggestions folks. I've tried Wilsons, Fieldens, Brocks and LGB with no luck. I'll keep searching.
  10. Oh yes!😆Silly me! Yes, I had considered just changing the tyres but would really appreciate the better ground clearance that bigger rims would give me.
  11. Thanks Conor, There's a place near me that does the same. May have to go down that route but just casting around to see if anyone has any used ones that they may have swapped out for something else.
  12. Thanks Gareth, Below is a picture of the rear dish. Does it mean anything to you? I don't speak 'Wheelrimese'
  13. Hi folks, Longest of long shots here but I wondered if any of you had any old Valmet or N-series Valtra wheels cluttering up the yard? I've bought an old Valmet 665 for forestry work but it has dinky little industrial tyres on it. I want to go back to factory spec. Fronts: 13.6 24 Rears: 16.9 34 They don't necessarily have to come off a Valtra/Valmet. As long as the size is right I can get new centres made up. Any help greatly appreciated!!! TVI
  14. Thanks everyone! I haven't seen the tree and I don't personally know the owners. I certainly don't know how to tackle anything like this. AHPP has graciously offered to have a chat with them to see what can be done. Many thanks for the input😊
  15. Morning folks, An acquaintance of mine has a large oak in their garden which is starting to split in two from the base of the crown. This is way outside of my field of knowledge in terms of what can be done. There are constructions under the tree that would be damaged should the split continue and the limbs fall off. Is there any method of bracing/strapping the stem, or is it a crown reduction job? Is there anyone in the South Suffolk area that would be able to have a look and quote for remedial action? Dodgy pictures below. Many thanks, TVI.
  16. Good evening Oh wise ones. An acquaintance of mine has a large oak in their garden which is starting to split in two from the base of the crown. Dodgy pictures below. Many thanks, TVI. Ha! Chance would be a fine thing! I can assure you that I won't be a competitor, as much as I would love to be a woodland owner. Hope you get it! Regards, Graham
  17. Hi dingosbaby, What an absolutely lovely message. Thank you so much! I have sorely neglected the thread over the last year or so. I'll certainly do some updates in the spring so you can see how the rides are developing. The woods are always open to people who send such fantastic messages. Where are you based? I'd also be interested to know how you stumbled upon this thread nestled deep in the arbtalk archives.
  18. No trouble at all, and no rush. The pictures have garnered quite a bit of interest which I wasn't anticipating. If I decide to sell I'll pop it on arbtrader after giving your friend first refusal if he is interested.
  19. Yes, permanent 4 wheel drive on flotation agricultural tyres. A few piccies. Could do with a wash and blow dry! If your friend was ever round these parts he'd be very welcome to have a drive to get a feel for the alpines.
  20. I've got a Pasquali 49hp, 760 hrs, reverse drive that I would consider offers on as I want to buy an excavator. A couple of forestry bumps and bruises but nothing serious. Trouble is I'm the other side of the country. I'll dig out some pictures if your friend is interested? TVI.
  21. Fantastic! Thanks mr magicfingers. Great to hear that you are enjoying managing your patch. It never ceases to amaze me what can materialise when you let a bit of light in. Do you have any ponds? Would love to see some pictures of what you've been up to if you have any?
  22. Hi Jim, I'd be interested in a price for that machine if QuattroKev doesn't go for it.
  23. It's jolly nice that your oil rig buddies are so obliging. Brokeback mounting?
