  1. We have the same issues with under cutters as well. Continue to be patient and do the best job you are trained to do. All of the under cutters soon drift away since they do not understand the cost of conducting business. usually here in the states when these type Professionals appear on the market their equipment is usually worth about 5 cent's on the dollar within in 12 months or less. They never learn, but I think you just did.

  2. I agree with mrtree, If anyone does not understand their cost of doing business they should work for someone that does. You may not like that choice but working to earn a profit not just covering your fixed/variable cost is the bottom line.

  3. Sorry to hear of your loss. Here in the states we have a alarm company called ADT. Although I do not work for ADT or own any stock in said company, I do know that they offer a app. that you can have with your phone. This can provide the owner critical time to catch the perks and maybe alert law enforcement as well. Just a suggestion.

  4. I gave up hand weeding a long time ago, have you evry tried a product called Round-Up?. It seems like chemical means to control weeds has not been mentioned before?. If I was spraying a bed for weeds I would have to return about every 7 to 10 days. I would sharge any where from $10.00 per application. Customer was very happy and I could always count on the next visit. FYI it would take me about 5 min's to apply the material. The cost of the material was about $1.00.

  5. US involvement is and will only be for political purpose's only. Curious george is trying to salvage whats left of his failed experiment at Communism in the US and try to get reelected in 2012. I pray not, he has done more than enough damage to this country and insulted our allies when ever possible.

  6. If the area has always been wet it sounds like a layer of clay is acting a barrier preventing percolation. This is common in Florida. What kinda of soill do you have?. We have mainly sandy/loam here. You could try digging a hole 3 to 5 ' and inserting a 4" PVC pipe into the hole level with the surface of the turf. Back fill the hole with about a foot of lime stone and back fill the ballance with your used soil. A plastic drain cover for the top would finish off the project. This may help transfer the excess moisture to the surface water level, where it belongs

  7. For all my years in the Landscaping and Arboriculture industry I have and continue to serve my clients needs. I have and always will provide options for dealing with my clients needs to the best of my professional abilities. Since I have expanded my business opperations by manufacturing products directly related to the above mentioned industries, I have developed a greater appreciation of not only educating my fellow colleagues but truly working smarter and not harder, unless it's a money tree!.

  8. Make sure the rep from MRW Precision Engineering Limted provides you with at least 3 references. Make sure these references are real. Did said references sign non-disclosure agreements with MRW or a firm representing MRW?. Bottom line if MRW can not or will not provide you with references, RUN AWAY!. Don't get burned.

  9. Dear Tomtrees; The Yanks are correct. Curious George and his Hoodlems tryed and failed to increase Ethanol from 10% to 15%. Non-ethanol fuel is hard to secure here in the states and the only reliable source has been boat marinas. It seems that ethanol fuels will destroy boat moters faster than Two/Four cycle engines. Shop at name brand locations only.

  10. Here in the states we also have many break-in's and loss of gear. Usually the perps that pull this off are in it for quick cash. Might I suggest contacting local Pawn or loan shops for items fitting the descriptions of the stolen items, along with serial numbers and any other ID marks. Usually but not always local law enforcement work with these businesses trying to recover stolen goods. Considering the UK market and number of retail locations selling equipment to the end user, I am wondering why a anti-theft devise could not be installed on saws and other such items of value for tracking purposes. A simple magnetic strip could be installed from the point of purchase and if someone was really clever they could link this information to a app. via a smart phone so as when the items leave a certain location a message would alert the owner and or Police. "Work smarter not harder".

  11. Dear Dorian: I can understand the difference in price considering the exchange rate at this time. The CE mark can be a problem, I know from my own experiance with exporting product into the UK. I also agree with warranty issues and any dealers wanting to work on said equipment. There may also be issues with fuel blends for US brand equipment and available fule blends for EU equipment. You may just have to bite the bullet and go with your local supplier.

  12. Surround your shed with a 8' chain link fence topped off with razor wire. If you can run current thru it and have a Battery back up with a alarm going to your cell phone that would also be a good idea. Of course secure the best locks available, just like other post you want to make it as hard and time consuming for the perks to give up or get caught in the act. If they do get caught in the act I believe in taking no prisoners.

  13. The palms you are dealing with are very tough to maintain much less remove. I have removed palms like the one described by layering 4 to 6" sections at a time from where the froms start down. depending on the thickness of the palm and water content I find this to be the easiest way. Cleaning your equipment always very important esp. with palms since the juices will do a number on the saws. Advice comming to you from SW. Florida USA.
