  3. Hats off to Dave Law , a very humble fella , he was the senior climber in our section and gave me great confidence in my first novice comp.Great camaraderie out of all the climbers and a fantastic atmosphere
  4. Yeah cheers Greg still there selling at 9;30 on the Thurs nite , good range of gear , looking forward to seeing the new website , best of luck with it
  5. Yeah sure is.Lived in Scotland for a few years.Lovely countryside
  6. Seriously tho only reason I ask is I'm going over to Aberdeen myself for a couple of weeks
  7. Sorry OT if you dont mind me asking but what are you doing in Aberdeen ?
  8. Rowan there'll be plenty of climbers there only too glad to give you a shot just make yourself known:thumbup1:
  9. The Irish Tree Climbing Championships will be run there on the Friday & Saturday along with the woodland crafts , poleclimbing , axemen etc.Stands from Fletcher Stewart/Stein Honey Bros ( I think ?) amongst others .So should be plenty for everyone. The inaugural one two years ago was pretty good so should be a good one this year:thumbup1:
  10. Don't go for a hidden winch it'll only bring trouble.Look for a genuine warn external winch mount.I've fitted three over the years and the Warn XP is a very good winch. Not meant for continuos use but will do what you want of it.I had one on my D3 for three years and served me well( miss it every day lol). There's loads of threads on disco3.co.uk covering it altho you may have to search back a few years as it's all gone very blingy on there since I used to frequent.
  11. Cheers , would suit me perfectly
  12. Nice , what make/model is your processor ?
  13. Just recently converted ours over from oil , same as yours. They're fetching about €400 over here as private sales converted back to solid fuel.I was offered €100 from a company dealing in refurbed Rayburn/Aga models against a €3500 refurbed model They're a doddle to change back , full set of bricks ,new riddling grate & frame €160 approx and about half a day of my own time. I only needed two bricks (wrap round boiler) but had to buy the full set.The oil feed entered via the left hand side and was easily repaired. That one looks to be in great condition:thumbup1:
